I was told the green one is for dark pple and the orange one or pink is for toning.

Please there's nothing like that. If you have sensitive skin, go for the green. The green is for sensitive skin be it dark or fair skin, it's for sensitive skin. And they all tone. I've used all 3 so I know what am saying.
