Man... I want to love this show so much. The Thawne-Barry interactions are amazing, and this iteration of Reverse Flash is one of the more compelling comic villains brought to the screen in recent years. But the regular series episodes are just such a slog to go through... My God, why do people complain about Barry letting Thawne go? He’s been able to put his desire for revenge behind him. Letting Thawne go was his intention. And since he proved he could outrun Reverse Flash, Thawne fighting him no longer holds meaning. So when Thawne ran away, Barry allowed it. Not “oh I can’t catch him.” It’s “it would be too easy to catch him, plus my intention was letting him go in the first place, so I’m not upset that he did the smart thing and took my offer of leaving.”

August said something about there being only one God of Speed As Barry's rival Thawne is gonna get faster and give barry a run for his money But Barry basically entered God mode compared to Thawne So imagine if they have a final battle at the end of the next season Barry could become a literal God of Speed And he took that first step when Thawne tried to attack him

I feel like that's one of the most frustrating things with Barry and Batman, they just can't get that at times some lives need to be taken. That's why I liked Oliver, he was considered a hero and he wasn't afraid to cross that line for the better of the city.

If he’s that much faster than RF then why did he need him to beat Godspeed? Either Barry should’ve been able to destroy Godspeed or RF would’ve been so slow compared to the two of them it makes no sense. I just want this show to end so I can have some closure

Barry called onto RF because Barry wasn't going to kill or hurt Godspeed too much as he's from the future (Godspeed). I think RF being from the future was somehow a better idea to kill or hurt Godspeed. I don't if its true or not because Barry is the fastest speedster alive. I think Barry used RF to help with Godspeed as he could drain Barry off of his speedforce and make himself faster, so to end the fight faster, Barry used RF.

I keep seeing this comment and Barry knows that no matter what he does then Thawne will always be there sure he could throw him in the pipeline but thawne would just escape or crazy shit would happen like Barry starts going in and out of timelines again so he just let's him run off to go do whatever the only real time he shouldn't have lived/escaped is after the reverse flash point when they saved him from dying they really shoulda just let him die cuz that's the only way he could have for sure never came back but nah "the flash don't kill"
