Sir ICAI has given a clarification that materiality and removed the non applicability of materiality at group level with respect to modifications and EOM given by component auditors. Further even provide a guidance as to whether a company is required to consolidate even if AS exempts it since the act uses the word comply with schedule III.

Sir some of my frnds telling me that icai has amended CFS guidance note about materiality. That is if component is not Material then as per SA 600 no need to incorporate in HO co. auditors report. Same applicable on CFS guidance note.. please confirm..??

Now I confirmed from www.icai.org/new_post.html?post_id=13549 Yes.. icai made amendment in GN. Materiality will considered as per SA 600.. please check.. thus not required to considered all the qualification of components. Auditor should consider materiality of that component too..
