With a little luck yes. I've beaten the boss maybe a dozen times, but even when things a looking great you can suddenly meet a scout in a solar flare area with 4 shields, 4 missiles and cloak that knocks out your engines before you can do anything. It makes the game more fun as you never know what will happen.

Probably my favorite game from last year. Not often a game can be (often) such a complete dick to you yet still be so much fun.

Game has to do with ADON, aka you can die randomly at any moment, yet i wouldn't say it's unfair. After unlocking few ships, and with a little luck you can pretty much rule the universe with an iron fist.
