More like 2 ways. I mean think back the way how Barry dealt with the possessed Joe West in 2000. Barry used his lightning to knock out the spirit that is controlling Joe and Joe did not die. Flash used his lightning to de-possess while Khione uses her powers to kill and then revive.

Now there are 3 ways do depossess someone. So far, when the negative speedforce took control of Joe, Barry/Flash was the one who eventually got the negative speedforce out of Joe using his lightning blast. Khione turned Mark into dust and revived Mark in order to depossess Mark. Cecile used her mind control powers to remove the negative speedforce from her granddaughter Nora.

i feel like i am the only one who doesn't really like Khione, in the beginning episodes she would sense or do something with powers then respond with a "i don't know, i just know" and for some reason that really annoyed me. I can kinda understand her reason for existing now but feels like the last season of The Flash is still falling a bit short for me. Especially when Thawne keeps returning every season, i get that he dedicates his life to hurt Barry but it's getting a little boring now (Although i did like the episode when barry went back to the 2000 and saw original Thawne, i loved his acting)

Barry's way of getting the Cobalt spirit out of Joe was to use his lightning blast which is only a KO and then Joe don't remember how he gets back to the car. Compare that to Khione. She had to kill and then revive. So there is basically 2 characters with a power to remove the evil spirit Cobalt out of that vessel. Barry got Cobalt out of Joe and Khione got Cobalt out of Mark.

Don't forget that she also have a same power as Poison Ivy. That means she is not just stuck with ice only. Think back to the way how she revived those random people back to life. She ended up turning their skin green. What was shown is she used some kind of plant to revive almost similar to Poison Ivy.

I knew she was sorta of a god a bit, but i am glad they’ve knowledge here it kinda makes when you think about what she can do, you know bring people back from the dead or heal living animals and plants so that makes sense, although i am thinking of Wonder Woman for a sec cause isn’t she half god so Diana is pretty strong and has powers beyond any Amazonian and lighting from Zeus. So i guess Khione could be a god. Although it dosen’t add up in way cause i guess she could control the weather, and do other cool things as well so does that make her an Athena god cause Athena sorta helps with animals and life so i guess that could add up. Just remember that originally, that Gideon belongs to Eobard Thawne but as soon as Eobard Thawne is no longer a director of Star Labs with the alias Dr. Wells, Gideon now belongs to Barry so which means Barry is now the owner of Gideon.

It is like shutting down your own computer and then turning it back on. This whole thing just proves that even if Barry shuts Gideon down, it meant Barry just turns off the computer. So Barry may of came up with a plan where he can turn Gideon back on by magic. So if Iris can turn back Gideon, so can Barry. So shutting Gideon does not mean killing Gideon. Same rules applies with The Legends. Shut down mode does not mean turning Gideon off permanently.
