Turn on closed captions. The symbol is CC in a square shape, located in the top right corner of the video. At the bottom you will see the instructions. I can’t tell what weight of yarn is used but I would try using two strands of sport weight. Measure the 35 chains and it should measure foot from heel to toe. Hope this helps.
