i love this video because I used to fly gliders out of this very airfield. Solent airport Daedalus. All of the shots show my local area and it’s so good to see what I see when I fly. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting guy westgate on a few occasions and he is just like guy Martin but if the aviation world. Such an awesome video I can’t believe I’ve only seen it now

This is NOT human powered, but Gravity powered! Gliders use gravity and aerodynamic forces to fly (glide).

The string indicates yaw, so in the turn if it is too far one way you're either using too much or not enough rudder.

No Guy, drag racers don't pull 9 G lol. Also however many G's they pull is going on the z axis so it's pushing back. Fighter pilots pull G's on the y axis that's pushing the blood down away from brain and eyes that's why it's so difficult.

Gliders control are cable hooked to the controls. No hydraulics or electric motors. I took a four glider lessons , great experience. Costly to do so.
