Hey Brodie, I know with the tennis ball at least, it is better to stand behind the ball. When measuring the tennis ball from the front, the radar gun likely picked up the speed of the head of the racket. From behind, the radar gun will measure the speed of the ball. Just a thought. Congrats on your world records!

more run up = more power, and the better your form the less hard you have to throw to get that power out. Try disc golf discs because you can crank those past 100 mph

I think the radar gun is reading the swing speed, not the speed of the ball or frisbee radar guns read back off of bigger objects. so the tennis racket was being read rather than the tennis ball.
