This is my new favourite method for farming the robot solo. So easy. Thanks for the tip! Even easier way to place the power armour is to jump no the platform wearing the power armour. Get out it but leave the armour chassis on the platform. Push the button then jump up and get back in the armour.

Thanks again smashy for spreading the love. I have to say though this is not the fastest method. It is faster to shoot the robot platform with a gamma gun right after you press the red button and the robot will start rising up immediately, then stand on a PA frame to axe his fusion cores

@@smashysnow the method in the video would work with the gamma gun but it takes too long to enter PA when you are not in combat, unless there is some way to trick the game into letting you jump into your PA when you are not in combat.

@@smashysnow it works similar to the new strangler heart method, idk if you’ve heard about that but basically the guardian starts taking poison damage as soon as you stand on the center of his platform and he rises sooner. I haven’t tested that, just seen videos but the gamma gun is slightly faster, and easier if you don’t have strangler heart armor like me

Does it have to be a certain gamma gun? What mods are needed or will any gamma gun be good? So, the purpose of the gamma gun is to get the robot to come up quicker?

FAKE! You forgot the part where you get stuck entering or exiting your power armor for 70 seconds. Kidding, great video. I know if you make sure there is a power core it stops that almost completely but it still sometimes randomly happens for 10 seconds for some reason, getting in and out...

Ironically this happened to me over the weekend the first time I did it with a group. It was very embarrasing. Had been going in and out of power armor all day...even solo'd it a few times no problem. And yeah when you get stuck it kills you in case you didn't know.

@sgtmasterz8688 Yooo, I'm a bloodied build, so my health is extremely low haha. However, as for power armor if against the robot alone, I use only Troubleshooter/Endurance/Sentinel/Reflectives mods. If fighting for all stages while being bloodied, I use the same thing except swapping out the Troubleshooter for Overeaters. I use Union Power Armor since that is considered one of the best! Me and my friends manage to complete within 10-15 mins!

Yeah it does seem to work, you don't get insta killed by the electricity, but as soon as the turret open fires it clobbers me pretty quick. I have hellcat overeaters, and defensive perks rejuvenators 2, nerd rage 1, natural resistance 1, life giver 2, ricochet, and bullet shield 4 (which isn't used), serendipity. I pop a psychbuff before I start. Any additional things I can do to toughen up my character? I'm also using a chainsaw (furious/pounders), but I can switch to a autoaxe (I think I have a pounders mod) and swap all my offensive strength perks to melee, maybe take down that shield before he opens fire. But any suggestions on fortifying my character would be appreciated. edit: Oh and protocolled torso. Is there a macro for spamming super stims? Seems like that would be handy.

@@flameguilherme Yeah I put together a troubleshooters strangler heart set and that does help. But even spamming super stimpacks it will kill me in like 10 seconds. Sometimes I can live past a volly and then spam super stims to get back up to health, but more often a volly will kill me or come close enough that the second one will finish me off. I can't bring down the shield before hte turret starts firing, I only get around half. My furious pounders chainsaw does about 1200 a tic once it's up to full stack, but I think I just need an furious+pounders autoaxe and unfortunately I don't have an extra pounders box mod yet. I think I may have to experiment with a hybrid method, chainsaw until the turrent starts firing then switching to a vampire heavy gun. On the old method, once I got the shield down I can usually kill the turret with my chainsaw. It's usually pretty close, but I get in just under the heat death. I see some people using sentinals but putting together the the strangler heart set really wipped out my a major portion of my cores. Plus I understood that sentinals is or was bugged, so guess I'll have to research that.

So I did end up getting a auto axe setup (furious, pounders) and I can usually get anywhere from half to almost the whole shield before the turret opens up on me. At which point I switch to a vampire LMG (any heavy gun that has a high fire rate and no spin up should work, like a .50 cal) and spam a few super stims. At that close range bullet shield works to finish of the turrets shield pretty fast, you just need to stay alive 5 or 10 seconds. The timing is a bit tricky but I can do it consistently. I'm getting about 2000 a tic on full stack with my auto axe, along with psychobuff, melee cards arnt maxed out (1,1,3 along with incisor, I have too many weight/strength perks taken up), ultracite protocoled along with optimized bracers for reduced AP cost, +2 strength on every armor piece (still pretty low strength, like low 20s) twisted muscle....ummm I think that's all the pertinent buffs. It's not as easy as SmashySnow's method, but for those of us that can't dish out quite as much damage, it's a viable method.

@PhillipGraves1776 so you have to put the power armor on the plat form. Then start the raid and get in your power armor without touching the plat form ypu can jet pack in the air or be on the ground but not on the plat form

@smashysnow if you don't kill Earle in the allotted time or if you want to stay in the cave after you kill Earle, enter your power armor at the sme moment the cave starts to collapse. Works on that other event when the cave collapses, I forget what it's called. You can do it after you launch a nuke. It's all in the timing, here it's after the turret bot has come on line. There are other events but I forget them, like I said, it's been around for years.
