Taco they patched the basement glitch😢. You can't even jump on the boxes. The other glitches work. The statue for the north. Jumping on the stairs for the west. The basement doesn't work any more

Great video! A tip: when escaping, as soon as you reach the first mine and the text "escape Cayo Perico' disapears it means you are done. The heist is over. No need to swim anywhere. :)

Loved the video man. I’ve only gotten two paintings one time, and I was lucky enough to get the pink diamond as my primary target as well. It was my fastest ever and most profitable ever. 7 min 22 sec for $1.7 million

I remember watching guys doing speed runs from the very start and I asked them why it was that they had parked their sub somewhere then had gone and created a bunch of respawn points for fast travel but hadn't started the clock. I asked shouldn't all of that been part of the speed run work? Well, I was not very popular in that comment section let me tell you something for nothing. I think all of the pre run work they did would have doubled their time. But hey, what do I know, I just play the game.

Did it with my friend but with gold our time was 5:59 but solo double painting definitely faster what you need is Bearer bonds on normal mode And use first person a lot faster and you don't get stuck And if just grab the painting you go downstairs because you hack only one time The fastest escape is the 3 mines just wait a little

I never thought swimming out into the open water to escape. But works well since the update make some unnecessary tweaks that made the heist more difficult.

I would have got the Sub and swim straight into the drainage tunnel 🤔 if you have the two painting you don’t need to go anywhere else

My fastest time was 5.09 in first person lock because I normally do my heists in first person I have video proof on my KZbin account. Great video I have been here since you had 8 k subscribers.

I do it in 12 minutes including looting the warehouse, and main basement loot. Each prep sequence besides Longfin take 5 min or less. The actual heist is easy peasy.

Fastest I've done solo was 9:22 min. That was going to the airfield grabbing double cola and then running through the compound. Honestly I've never got two paintings in the office before, didn't know that was actually a thing.

Dur8ng the prep, gta glitched out and although it says I've completed the demolition charges as they are a mandatory thing, and it's given me access to the final stage, it still says I have to delivery the charges lol, oof, guess I'm restarting gta and see if that fixes it

@xparrotsister8807 its because i hadnt scouted out the tunnel, and by not doing that i didnt get the option to do the mission to obtain the torch, before that i had to use them because thats all i had access to, i went back before doing my second run and scouted the tunnel so i could get the torch instead of the demo charges, mission was still a pos though, but once i got through it i did manage to get the sparrow unlocked, now i just gotta save up enough money to arm it lol

don't think you could have shaved off much time... Most of what slowed you down was rng of the side gate code. Maybe if you would have grabbed paintings before doing the elevator hacks, little time wasted waiting for the door to open again

Need 2 ppl or glitches to get gold. If R* ever wants to be jerks it's simple for them to know if you glitched gold. Personally I don't care, and focus more on doing the entire heist from setup to end as quick as I can. A couple extra minutes for a slower route more than makes up for having to reset because you got bad RNG.

Hey Taco dude, i'm a real GTA Online speedrunner. So first thing, you had the wrong weapon loadout for a speedrun, you need the *Conspirator" who is included Military rifle & Sticky bombs .You can suicide a lot quicker with a sticky. Second thing is you've waste a lot time to hack the elevator, if you've the key, run down stairs and open the gate, which is a lot faster. If someone tells you, you should swim to skeleton, you can be sure, he haven't the knowledge about the game mechanics and the hitbox around the cayo island. The shortest way to reach the end of the hitbox who finish the heist is indeed the watermine, and if the text " Escape Cayo Perico " disappear, you don't need to continue swim, cuz it show you, you've reached the end of the hitbox, it just takes few seconds, before the minimap will disappear and load the videocutscene. Have a nice day

You may as well get the wall safe loot and try for the white powder or cheat and get the gold because you just spent 35 to 45 minutes screwing around doing the set up missions. Why lose half a million just to do a speed run and save 5 minutes? Of course for you and others on You tube it is content. But for us laymen/laywomen/laytheys/layits, it seems to be a losing game. Unless your mum is calling you for dinner and you need to get it done super quick. But remember, you have to go through the scouting and 4 missions all over again, that don't pay, just to get back to Cayo and try to make more money. Or less money, depends how you see it.
