Why if i may ask? Cybersecurity is billion times more interesting than sql
@jackburton9214

@@BrucePain-_- for me, it's the people. blue team sucks. Unless you like meetings and emails and meetings and fighting internal business resources to do the things your policies you've written say you do. I could go on and on. It's not all port scanning and fighting people attacking your firewall in the business world. Sql is like a never ending puzzle and push to efficiency, which is way more interesting to me.

I am about to take SQL Server certification . I am very familiar with all select aspects, views, indexes, functions, stored procedures, triggers, joins.... But I am frustrated. Every job description says they want somebody with 5 and more years experience. How can get a job then with now experience?
@luckytemitope2551
@luckytemitope2551 3 жыл бұрын
Probably you should try applying for Junior SQL Developer first. Those ones require fewer years of experience. You can also check for paid Internship job offers; those definitely don't require any years of experience. I wish you Good luck!

Great video. I've been in the IT field for about 18 years. 8 years as a systems admin/helpdesk guy and the last 10 years in a customer service type role which didn't involve much IT work. I'm in the process of taking an online Oracle SQL course. Do you recommend me getting certified before applying for SQL developer jobs or apply for jobs once I finish the online course? What should be my best course of action? Thank you in advance.

@@RodTechTalk I disagree most hr and recruiters know that their are braindumps for certifications just compile a body of work and have it on github , know your shit and answer the questions correctly when and if you get the interview but alot of it is how you structure your resume

Thank you so much for your informative videos and your willingness to provide one-on-one help as well. I'd like to share an idea with you - something that would also be super helpful would be an online SQL test that has questions you believe all new SQL Developers should be able to answer before they apply to their first job.
