This guide shows Season of Discovery Players how to find the Dark Riders to get their Melee Specialist Rune. Dark Riders will be found all over the World of Warcraft and must be defeated to collect a series of Curious and then given to a quest npc to get your Rune for Melee Specialist Hunter Rune

Got this at lvl 25. Was easy to form a raid. Immediately after, I obtained the dual wield specialization. Lvling has never been easier.

@GladiusGamingGG people that say range spec is better, is indenial, and too lazy to get the rune. Getting it early is a game changer. After acquiring both runes, the next priority should be the viper aspect. Haven't had to drink since.

thank you fellow hunter. I just led a group of 12 to finish this in like under an hour, going by your directions. here's a tip for everyone who hasn't done it or has to do it again: bring a WARLOCK along to summon

Nice. One mention. It's Stonard, not Stoneguard :). The riders are in some high zones so I guess I won't bother doing deathruns just to get there..

Haha good catch on Stonard! Yeah, no rush on this one. It is a super nice rune but it takes so long to do without a mount and death runs.

To those who think lower levels can’t do the quest, just get a raid, every deals dmg to the boss. All can get the loot. And you should do it at lower levels because it’s the best rune, and it’s so much fun to play

Great point on this tomopaaisen. The resetting raptor strikes are so fun. Though it is hard to beat the fun of trap launcher. Overall, loving the hunter runes this phase. Hoping ranged gets some love so we all don’t get pushed to melee without much of a choice.
