Thanks for another great video. Unfortunately, the best player I practice against is my son, who's gifted at this bloody complex game. As much as I love to practice with him, he's wiping floor with me all the time. Due to being super-gifted, he doesn't even know what and why he's doing, his mind just automatically makes the right decisions. He's never even watched a tutorial video, just goes Unreal without grinding in creative and studying videos like me. Me, on the other hand... the opposite end of the spectrum. Overbuilding, making stupid peeks because I have not yet figured out the right ones... but he doesn't know how to explain. So, thanks to creators like you Ample. BTW, if you need an idea for the video, I'd appreciate a thorough video on protective peeking. There are a lot of creators with good videos about it but no one IMHO has created a kind of complete all-in-one video with suggestions for all different situations, of which edits to use depending on where the opponent is placed. I'd watch and practice an hour long one for sure. One of my challenges is just smart choices when editing and trying to shoot someone. I often do dumb edits just because I don't have a better idea in mind. So I end up pumped in the face due to a gun-swap delay. Like, for example, my teenage genius son has totally figured it out. When I play 1 v 1 with him, he's pretty much always protected and I'm struggling to find an angle/opportunity to shoot him. When he chooses to shoot me, I see him too late (after he's already shot me and often even placed a build or reset). Unfortunately, just like many geniuses he can't teach me shit, because it all just comes naturally to him, and he doesn't even realize how his mind makes these decisions, haha. Fundamentally, I do understand peeker's advantage and basic protected edits like peanut butter sandwich or windows while moving left, but I know, depending on where I'm standing in relation to the build peace and my opponent I can have a first peek... unfortunately, even in Raider's maps where bots punish you for imperfect peeks, I struggle finding the right angles/approaches. If someone came up with detailed angles in different situations that were relatively easy to implement, I'm sure it would be a very popular video.

BTW, around 4:00 I'd say you aren't practicing it right. You aren't editing behind the cover so players like my son would probably in this scenario just pump you in your brain bucket. I've been coached a bit by coach Zykoma (you can look up his videos as well), and he specifically mentioned that is a big mistake that players practice against bots the wrong way building wrong muscle memory. He's a big proponent of gun-swap delay and protective peeking. Not trying to be an ass, just a constructive criticism.

I 100% agree but I specifically practice like this for retakes not box fights. The cone if the farthest placing build so when pre piece out of a retake it's best to place the cones first as the opponent would be caught of gaurd. If it were a 1 on 1 box fight or a situation where the I had the opponent's full attention I'd totally place a wall then window edit placing the cones in. This is something that you'll see pxlarized do all the time. I believe in gun swap delay ect and such but I want practicing for that part of combat. I genuinely appreciate you calling me out 🙏🏾

@@AMPLEYT it's a fair point. As long as you have a clear thought behind why you are doing it that way, and it works for you...
