The flat surface with the board you're using to line it up is a jig. Also, you should nail in from the inside/bottom to hide the nails.

You might be right, but for me a jig is something where you can build several pieces in which the result is exactly the same every time, and I can't do that here as the pieces can move a little. But a jig can be many things

@kevinngnova so I did respond stating that I put up a picture of my jig on my IG for anyone to go see… but that comment was removed… so if you want me to answer the question… it looks like a piece of plywood with blocks attached in the shape of a Christmas tree…
