I think the cooked patties are meant to be put into the inside lid of the grill machine. So that when you close it the cooked patties replace the raw patties.

I think you're supposed to put the Cooked Patties Patty-Side Down in the Lid, Close it, Press one of the Buttons to Release it, Open, then it looks like the Raw Patties become Cooked Patties.

Awesome! Never thought McDonald's would have a decent toy for today's kids again. Since the change of the restaurants from a happy child to a depressed adult and the dark colors, the Happy Meal toys have also changed for the worse. Hamburglar, Birdie, Grimace etc., are no longer familiar to today's children. Everything has become so "colder" in the restaurants, I'm glad I grew up in the 90s.
