Finally a support unit we can get excited on getting. I'm still going to use her with Dolores/ Constance because I can just switch to her inspi whenever the other's ults are on cd. Her damage mitigation also looks amazing aside from her offensive buffs.

constance/dolores bonus over Diao is too small to justify another hero spot ... most rage/dmg buffers offer way more at that point especially with dolores 65-70% uptime

The best thing is AOE damage reduction stacks with P/M.Dmg reduction. Unless I'm reading it wrong both her passive and bond skill can get you up to 50%

I see her working alongside a bubba/constance/dolores in GB2 replacing ferssi. The range might be difficult to work with. But you can have inspiration constantly and when you other inspiration hero is running you can swap stances twice to get the rage regen buff.

Getting Diao is an easy choice. The tricky choice is, if they DO go with a Lu Bu + Valderon Ancient banner, and a person has enough Ancients to hit their Lord pity, but they don't have Praetus or Ingrid... do you go for Valdy?

Why does everyone assume her bond skill affects all allies? It's worded in the exact same way as the Keen Wisdom artifact, which only affects the artifact holder, so why should her bond skill be different? Also it would be insanely OP if she provided both AoE damage reduction and physical + magical damage reduction all in one, which of course she doesn't...

Hi Fasti, I'd love to see if DIAOCHAN can single heal the latest CODEX boss. With the changing Phases, it kinda sounds like she was made for it. Phase one doesn't require healing depending on team used (I use Valk and Ingrid in the middle to clear one side with no healing required) so you could go for DPS Support in phase one, and heals in phase 2. Another quick question - when you mentioned the 30% aoe reduction for bond skill: Have we confirmed that the reduction is for all units in range, or for Diaochan only? Great content as usual!

I am totally hyped up about getting Diao Chan. My only question is, why put her in the same faction as Dolores ? I would much rather have her in Nightmare, so that they would have an inspo/healer champion, rather than all of the fighters that they keep pumping out.

I think certain factions have a certain gameplay in mind that forces you to think in terms of that gameplay. Having healers in Nightmare would make their faction trial a laugh. I agree with you though. I think it would be better if they put more deployment restrictions on the existing faction trial levels and then had new levels where you could take advantage of a more diverse class arrangement. As it is the gameplay there becomes very single note.

Yeah it says only the strongest will be in effect.. what you COULD do.. though i question its merit.. is have Dao inspo’ing while Dolores is waiting on rage.. when dolores inspo’s.. flip dao to heal.. then back again as Dolores inspo drops. But then you’re missing at least part of Dao at full atk for 20 secs each time.. idk.. could be worth testing to see how it plays out.. maybe even just leave Dao’s inspo up the whole time and let it cycle between the two strengths and see if its worth having both.. kinda doubt it

When comparing their attack, you kept thinking Dolores might have more after awakenings. I don't see that being possible given her talent where on top of her base attack and awakening bonus, she's getting +2% ATK every 2 seconds, capping at +20% after 20 seconds. My understanding is that buff would be a post-deployment +20%, putting her ATK massively ahead of any other inspiration hero? But even if it's not post deployment ATK, it should still put her in the lead of any other inspiration hero.

Besides, I noticed a really weird thing that the Chinese version of Diao Chan has different Awakening orders. IDK if this is intended by MT or anything. If it is, then MT is really cooking some weird stuff again. Chinese version of her has attack range increase as A1, and rage regen as A5, then the last one as A3. Super sus

I wish Lu Bu was the guaranteed limited hero. I am a f2p player, in my 2nd month of gameplay, I have Dolores A5 and since inspiration doesn't stack, I feel like Diaochan is not gonna be a big thing for my progress. Missed out on Boreas for this :(

@ im at lategame, and since mid game i have never used silas even thou i have bond. Theres new heroes that took silas spot. On top of that limited heroes are only obtainable through events. U can get vierna any time of day. And on top of that u blew 350+ and didnt get her.. meanwhile u could get this heroes guaranteed and pray for vierna later. Maybe you would get vierna while accumulating 200 summons since limited heroes banner work as 1+1

5:07 hopefully she heals better than Sadie. That’s what I see her healer mode replacing. If she heals, in that mode, at Aylin level both Aylin and Sadie get completely invalidated in the current pool of content imo. 8:24 I have the benefit of not being on camera so I calculated exact numbers. At base, with the 20% attack bonus it comes out to 3099.6. Not sure if WoR rounds up, typically gachas don’t, but if they do then essentially 3100 at base. With A2 she goes to 3459.6. Again, with proper rounding that should be 3460. But again, gachas historically always round down. An interesting question is does that 20% apply to her base stats or stats with gear? If it applies to the post gear stats she would be an inspiration monster.

lu bu has nothing to do with this. there is the SMALLEST chance he will be paired with Diaochan on this banner but extremely likely he is on an Ancient Summoning banner required red summons (ancients). and he will have no guarantee

Lu Bu have extremely disappointing dmg regardless of content + new codex is all about single target + shield breaking AoE phase is easy to beat and buff from it is way too weak to make speed matter

I just got my first legendary soul stone from gb1 nm4. I have A0 Praetus and A3 Wukong with another unpolished soul stone. I am farming all the gr 19s. Wukong is the star of Nightmare 4 right now above pope. My goal is the get 50k Nightmare 4 and get higher in apoc 2. I am debating whether to mule the legendary soul stone on Wukong until I get another unpolished from somewhere, or just put it straight onto Praetus. Which do you think would get me (closer) to 50k?

The one issue I have with her is that this is the third limited hero in a row now (Kigiri, WuKong, and now Diaochan) each with amazing A3 awakenings... I spent a crap ton of $$$ summoning for Kigiri and WuKong awakenings -- over 1000 shards for Kigiri (he's still sitting at A0!!!) and 1500 shards for Wukong (only managed A2), and failed to get enough copies to awaken to A3. IMO, devs need to buff the drop rate of Unpolished Lego Soulstones (I've been playing now for 9 months and have only received 3 unpolished Lego Soulstones from Mythic NM3[4] rewards), it's absurd how much money this game is demanding from players to get [a chance at] awakenings for limited heros through their summoning banner.

I learnt the lesson with Silas banner before. Off bannered everytime. So I only save and save now until limited banner occurs. And hope that I get off bannered unit I want on the same limited banner after attaining the guarentee. Purple units with right gears can finish the game anyway when built properly.

My issue is that she does dolores' job worse than dolores and does a bunch of other cool stuff as compensation. This isn't good enough because in most content its not worth it to have a worse dolores in order to have aoe damage mitigation or any of the other nice bonuses she gets. The penetration is nice, but that surely won't be reason enough to run her with dolores, and its not as nice as all the additional attack dolores gives.

she gives perm 55% of dolores inspiration if you count uptime with a5 dolores + exclusive + scarab +elowyn then you end up with 8% higher inspiration than Diao thats negligible considering you get insane penetration boost + huge range penetration definitely beat dolores at GB2 even + keep in mind dolores is infernal Diao inf/watcher ... and lord bonus multiplies inspiration dps = Diao beats Dolores in almost any content ( probably only place with zero resistance is GB1+ exp /gold raid range? = A0 same .... A3 decimate Dolores HP ? = clear win for Diao not using elowyn or Dolores exclusive ? = worse inspiration than Diao defensive stance is no compensation but alternative hero .... .. fully viable ferssi on guaranteed banner with better faction

Most of the content in the game places a higher value on large bursts of damage than consistent dps so I don’t think your comparison is entirely fair, diao also can’t abuse laurel which is another big factor. It’s not that she’s never better than Dolores, it’s more that she’s never much better than Dolores and often worse which is disappointing.

It's probably named after the Greek hero Ajax which is pronounced differently, which the Dutch football side (Ajax Amsterdam) is named after, and that is pronounced I-yax. Not the cleaning shit.
