1844. According to Ibn 'Omar (may God approve the father and the son), the Prophet (peace and blessings of God on him) forbids to observe a continuous fast. - "But you, you observe it", they say. "My condition," he replied, "is different from yours; I am fed and quenched." 1846. Abou Hourayra (God grant him) said: The Messenger of God (peace and blessings of God be upon him) forbids to observe a continuous fast. One of the Muslims said to him: "But you, are you watching him, O Messenger of God?". The Prophet answered him: "You are not like me, because in the night, my Lord provides me with food and drink". As the faithful renounced his order, he observed with them a continuous fast day after day, until the appearance of the new moon. He then said to them: "If the appearance of the crescent had been delayed, I would have continued this fast more." As if he wanted to punish them because they disobeyed him by refusing to stop the continuous fast. 1848. According to Anas (God grant him): During Ramadan, the Prophet (peace and blessings of God be upon him) was practicing an (additional) prayer, so I came to do it next to him, and another did the same and so on until which we formed a group of less than ten men. When the Prophet saw that we followed him in prayer, he lightened it. When he got home, he continued the prayer he had shortened with us. The next morning, we said to him: "Did you notice our presence last night?". He replied: "This is what led me to lighten the prayer." Towards the end of the month, the Prophet began to observe continuous fasting and some of his companions followed suit. " The Prophet then said, "Why do you keep going fast? You are not like me. By God! If the month (of Ramadan) could be extended any longer, I would have observed a long, continuous fast capable of forcing the exaggerators to give up their exaggeration. " I saw this Hadith in Muslim...... I don’t understand and I’m confused please if you can enlighten me please

Can you keep a fast on a Friday during month of Shawwaal?

It's makrouh to fast on a fridays, if you singled that one day out to fast. However, if you are fasting x number of days consecutively and one of those days happen to fall on a Friday, then it's ok. and Allah swt aalam

It's possible if you started from Monday or Thursday, but you can't started the other day, if i don't hear wrong

When it comes to fasting on a Friday, you should either fast Thrusday or Saturday as well. You cannot fast on a Friday alone. And Allah knows best.

Monday and thursday are sunnah to fast in any months . Friday meant for jumua prayer . Spent that day with prayer and reciting Qurhan especially surah Kahf
