Last Sunday February 11, I attended Holy Mass beside me are 2 teen girls, while the Mass is ongoing the other girl is drinking Coke the other is drinking milk tea; when holy Communion is approaching they attempted to drink again that's the time I lectured to them about the teaching of the church regarding fasting before the Mass, I have done this in a quick and acceptable manner that they will not be offended. I praye for them that they may be enlighten that our Lord is truly present in the blessed sacrament which we are receiving that we need to give the highest manner of preparation.

Father, you blew it on this one. This was an opportunity to also include information as to what a one-hour fast means, i.e., no food, only water. And that water doesn't mean coffee, tea, juice, soda, etc. You would not believe the number of people who do not keep the fast because they were poorly catechized and as the result, think anything goes. As for "finding a way to fast", I think this was a poor suggestion on your part. The only relief from the fast is for the sick and their caregivers. As far as I know, there is no relief for the elderly unless they are ill; age is not a factor. Please reconsider making another video where you teach us basic Catechism; you would probably be shocked at how little so many of us know about our religion.
