The problem is anyone who "instigates" or someone who gets triggered over something unintended. Could be a biker or a car/truck driver. The problem I've run into as a rider, are car/truck drivers who are immediately triggered, simply because you're riding a motorcycle. I'll be riding along minding my own business, being respectful, not speeding, not cutting people off, and out of the blue, a guy I'm trying to pass in the center lane, will cut me off and try to block me from passing him. 🙄 Just... why? If you've got road-rage anger issues like that, you don't belong on the road. Luckily I've got a few tricks up my sleeve, to deal with idiots like that. But the point is, someone with issues like that driving a 3,200 pound car against a motorcycle, even if you ride a fully loaded Goldwing or Harley, you're only 800 to 900 pounds! If he starts swerving into you out of road-rage, you're going to lose that fight, every time.

If you encounter something what you mentioned, get the puck out of that situation asap. Thank God CA drivers have been good so far. I just cruise when I ride (mostly to work) and use lane filtering when traffic which is legal in CA.

Keeping up with 1000s on a 600 is no problem in the UK. Roads are a lot slower and it's hard to even get the max out of anything north of 100hp on a twisty b road.

The Aprilia RS660 did pretty well considering. I know they could have left the 660 if it were a long enough pull obviously, but with 100 HP and only what, 401 pounds wet, that's a decent power to weight ratio. It was strange watching a bike that runs 11.2 @ 124 mph in the 1/4 mile just getting blown by though lol... Shows how fast 9 and 10 second sport bikes are! Freaking awesome video guys!

I've been riding for 20+ years. I used to be one of those that was all about liter bikes. But that was when I was young and foolish. Really there is no need at all for anything 1000ccs and higher on city streets. My first 600 was a Honda CBR 600RR and I used to smoke my friends in liter bikes whenever there were turns or twisties. Going fast in a straight line does nothing for me and requires zero skill. Someone who can ride crazy fast while going through twisty roads requires a ton of skill and is truly impressive. Believe it or not one of my favorite bikes I've owned is my KTM RC390. It's a fantastic track bike and so fun to whip by R1s and 1000rrs through the turns when you have less than half the engine and only 1 cylinder. 🤣
