I see no final step of tightening the angle set bolt with the system under load...

Hi Daniel! We didn't touch on this in our video, you're correct! You can however find the answer to your question in our e2 Trunnion installation guide starting on page 18! www.fastwaytrailer.com/pdf/FW_e2_4.5K-Trunnion-Owners-Manual-2020-sep.pdf

We just bought a new truck for towing our trailer and the hitch receiver height is higher than our previous tow vehicle. What is the best way for us to adjust our Fastway e2? The original set up was done by the RV dealership and, to be honest, I don’t recall them giving us the installation booklet! I will print off a copy, but it won’t have the initial measurements they may have recorded in the original booklet.

How much does this hitch head assembly weigh? Got a 'low capacity lift' backbone here!
@FastwayTrailer3 жыл бұрын
It weighs about 45 lbs.

I only got a short shank with my kit and just 7 washers. My trailer is not level.

Just curious is it normal to have to raise the pickup up to the point of the wheels almost come off the ground to get the bars on the L brackets????
@FastwayTrailer2 жыл бұрын
Hi Ronald, no that is not normal. If you are having issues putting your bars on your L brackets, contact our customer service team at info@fastwaytrailer.com or call them at 877-523-9103 and they should be able to help you!

Video indicates start with 6 washers but digital manual indicates start with 3 or less. Which is it?
@FastwayTrailer2 жыл бұрын
Hi Larry! You can add up to 6 washers if you need to level your trailer frame. Hope that helps!

At 4:37 you say that the appropriate Front Axle Load Restoration (FALR) is supposed to be between 50-100%. The example in your video had it adjusted to 75% but the owner's manual for the Nissan pickup asks for measurements from the front a rear bumpers so it's hard to determine if your setup was accurate or not in accordance with the vehicle's specifications (all other manufacturers use the front fender like you mentioned in the video). That said, at the time of this video (June 2020), the Ford F150 specified a 25% FALR, Chevy at 50%, Ram at 66%, and Toyota at 100%. How come your video makes no mention of this when the manufacturers of these vehicles tested their trucks to SAE J2807 standards (hitch companies do not adhere to them)? Who should I believe when setting up my hitch to keep my family safe when towing my RV through the mountains in the rain or any other conditions, the manufacturer of the truck or the hitch company? Why?
