I am looking at the Kona Wo (26x4"), or the Canyon Dude (27.5x3.8). Been riding 3 inch tyres on an adventure bike for last few years and am tempted to go full fat. Glad to find a UK channel talking about fat bikes. thanks.

Hey there. You're wrong, I'm not in the toilet😎 So, you helped me a lot with this video, I have an Electric Fat Bike that I use just to work and one Hardtail MTB to have fun. My next one will be a Fat Bike (not Ebike) I choose the first one as you show up in this video without suspension. Thank you very much.👊🏴👊🇧🇷

In these troubled times I would suggest replacing "Activity" with "Availability". You still get F.A.T. and it's more relevant ;) I had the amazing good luck of finding a fattie for sale on a local bike shop, and the frame was my size, a large! I had been looking to buy one for about two months now and everything was sold out everywhere I looked, across Europe and UK, even frames are sold out! Looked for second hand but in my country there were only a handfull of smal and medium size frames... and they weren't even close by! The guy from the shop said the brand had contacted them asking if they wanted the bike and that there were only 5 bikes to send to shops in Europe, he said yes and didn't even ask the size of the frame! A week later and I walk in the shop and I see that beautifull huge tire looking straight at me 🤣. I couldn't believe it was real! One thing to note though, I got mine to ride on the beach and other sandy places, and at the shop they didn't tell me that the bike came with some kind of sticky lube on the chain. You really have to degrease the chain and put some kind of non sticky lube before ever going near sand! I had a hell of a time getting all the sand out of the chain after the first ride the day I bought it! 😫

That’s awesome about your bike!! I’m waiting on a new fat bike fork that is back ordered by 6 months ☹️☹️ and yes… that lube in my opinion just attracts c**p onto the chain 👌🤣🤣

It's best not to spend too much, less is more, if your using it for what it was intended for, from time to time it's going to see a good amount of salt.

Great advice...however as a short shit female, I took the small Specialized Base Hellga that was winking at me from the bicycle section of the nearby used gear shop as quick as I could get it loaded. Faded coral and big ol' 4.5" black tires makes her look like the great pumpkin (Charlie Brown!) but two layers of car wax worked wonders. If you have the luxury of options, follow this guide for sure.

Haha brilliant Lisa! I want to see a picture of your bike - it sounds awesome🤘🤘🤘 and yep, I’ve got a friend who is ‘vertically challenged’ and the bike options for her are hopeless.. ironically, another friend is 6ft 6in and he has more trouble finding an XXL frame than she took to find an XS. Go on .. ping me a pic of your bike to dicking about via Facebook or Insta 🙏☺️☺️

I've got the voodoo wazoo fatbike and love it some upgrades on it brill bike
@DickingAboutTV3 жыл бұрын
the wazoo is great - if my knees and back could handle it i'd still pave it. I put on a wider range cassette and front forks on my wazoo and that elevated it even more. Enjoy 🤘🤘

Don’t you loose a bit of torque with rear suspension?
@DickingAboutTV2 жыл бұрын
Yep absolutely but the sacrifice for comfort is worth it im my opinion - it very much depends on the sort of trail you ride of course🤘👍😊

@@DickingAboutTV full suspension for sure after a weekend trying one out. A better experience especially at middle age! 🤙

Hi, I'm looking for my first fatty. I'm on a under £500 budget, mostly be riding on bridal ways, trails and some short road trips. What would you suggest? I've struggled to find much online
@DickingAboutTV3 жыл бұрын
Hey David, I'd try to find a voodoo wazoo ... it is a rigid fat bike that you can add suspension forks to if you want to but it's an awesome first fatty. It was my first fat bike and got me hooked. You can still scan Facebook marketplace and eBay for them and they usually sell for around £400 i just found 4 under £400 on marketplace .. NB. Voodoo make a range of bikes and people label them incorrectly so check it's the wazoo 'fat bike' that is black and green. Cheers
