You can tell that they're food addicted by the way that their eyes glaze over when they put food in their mouth. It's a right tell. That means that just reducing food intake and increasing cardio isn't the answer. These people need psychological (addiction) counselling first.

No only ultra processed fake food is addictive to the genetically vulnerable, homemade from scratch does not ruin gut bacteria and satiety. If you simply make you own burgers, chips and pizza from scratch including your own bread and dough from just four ingredients, it has been proven in experiments you enjoy the taste just as much but consume far less, 500 calories per day less of exactly the same dishes because you don't go back for seconds when the food is homemade and not destroying your microbiome, because your satiety signal works when you eat minimally processed real food instead of ultra processed like most bread and dough and sauces and condimrnts that fat countries eat is. Italians and French make their own of everything more, so don't overeat as much.

The only time I check my weight is usually when I'm weighing suitcases before heading to the airport, or at the doctor...until yesterday/Easter. My mom begged me to visit, then to go swimming...& then said she thought I was "thickening" & to lay off the pizza, bread, and sweets once I got in my bikini.
