Director Jon Baxter from Perceptual Engineering, Auckland built a 3D model of a blackbird and his team then set about making it fly and multiply.
Baxter's philosophical approach for Blackbird aligns with the darkness of the lyrics by Freddy's vocalist Joe Dukie. "The Blackbird in my garden is often the lingering fear that attacks my creative process and inhibits action. But this can turn out to be the very same force that allows magic to happen, the very thing that gives momentum to dreams and allows us to break through to the other side", Baxter said.

what i think this song means : black birds represent darkness, death, vultures, crows, and therefore troubles... all these bad things therefore accumulate,they grow or become worse in the blink of an eye... when he refers to a 'garden" - since gardens represent growth and all life when they grow or are well taken care of - these birds, therefore troubles are there to make sure he doesn't eat from the garden.. him being troubled by the fact that these birds persist can also be a reason why he cannot either sleep nor eat. Beautiful music nonetheless.
