@@officiallyopinionated5397 hiphop in the 70s birthtime was on electro funk music wasnt samplin soul and shit until later in the 90s and late 80s even still that wouldnt make hiphop black, its a subculure from nyc which is the most ethnicaly diverse place in america, to act like that is not the reason is to ignore all the influences nyc had from around the world. we got chinatown, little italy, arabs, africans, latiinos, evry kind of people. Hip hop was birthed after a gang truce which had black and latino gangs and mixed gangs, if u not from here you have no input this aint ya culture.

But the two times I watched, even last year when Joe hosted. It was koo. Most were good. Some bad apples make the show look bad. At least the 1st time I watched it was real bad.

Joe is known for embellishments to his stories, so I'm prone to believe he was fired and he's talking that "stepped down" talk to save face.
