Umm, there is always a debate, many times it's a preference. Dj Premier is an awesome producer and one of the best but say he is the greatest is a little much. We have many greats, Dr Dre, Alchemist, Pharrell, Mannie Fresh, RZA, Kaayne and others, We got to be careful with GOAT producer talk.

what's sad is that the only ones keeping this feeling real is us by nostalgia and memories. in 30 years we re all be dead and that is when hiphop will be forever dead with our last generations who experienced that culture first hand in the 90's. nothing will bring it back, we were just lucky we were there witnessing. so many masterful mc's and producers. baggy clothes, backpacks, hoodies, timberlands, tapes and walkmans. you know this will be an era which will die once we are gone.

Dude was real NY... Even as late as the early 2000's, I had friends off E. Tremont on Crotona.. Right across from their spot was an abandoned building with a TS throwup with the little bomb in the corner... FJ, TM, PL. I geeked. well.. i agree with both: premo is an outstanding person in hip hop history.. he made more classic tracks than any other person out there.. he did it for 20 years. his shit aint that good the last years, but still better than a lot of other producers. fat joe was great before.. he worked with the best group there ever was.. ditc. legendary. i can say ditc in the same sentence with dj premier. ditc was a real effort for hip hop music.. god bless em all. they changed my life .. premo and ditc
