Definitely make that cut 10". I never mess with that 1/8" and always go up - so much easier. I have to pin because I have strong feed dogs and the end of the fabrics won't end up matching

I went back and after seeing the video,and listening again, I believe, she is talking about the background triangles. To cut the squares to 10”, then cut diagonally for the corner triangles (instead of 9 7/8”). Kelly, please correct me if I misunderstood. 🤗

What colour Moda plain do you choose to purchase by the bolt as a useful background to have please?

Kelly what's your thoughts on the presser foot you're using?? I have the basic one but was wondering if the guide is better at getting a perfect 1/4" seam? I'm asking as many Juki folks before I drop $55 on it since that seems a little spendy. Thanks!! ~M

It is a nice foot. I like that Im not as focused on the 1/4 inch- but you do still have to pay lots of attention. I little pressure to the right on that guide and you will have more than 1/4 inch. It just helps. Id buy it again for sure!

Kelly, were you able to starch the charm squares for this one? I haven't looked at the pattern yet to see what size the squares get cut. Your quilt came out nice!

Helppp!!! lol I just caught something as I started to sew and am very confused. It says the background should be cut to 4 1/2" yet charm packs are 5" and it doesn't say to cut them???

@hugg724 Yes, you have to cut them! Kimberly at FQS always starches so there is always extra fabric.
