My grandfather absolutely loves this song but it's been a fucking nightmare trying to get him out of his PTSD trip of the Vietnam jungle that he left David Carmichael in the Battle of la Drang of 1965. Cheers

So, I recently found out about this band, and this was the first thing I was introduced to by them. I was super intrigued and impressed.... but have been super letdown by all three albums. Am I the only one who thinks this Letterman version is better than any actual song they've recorded?
@c4rtelmike4 жыл бұрын
haha, each album does have some brilliant moments. Touch The Leather redux is their finest moment. Also look for 'Touch The Leather live at Berkman House SXSW 2014'

@@dylan8131 I believe it. All the live videos I've seen are great. But the albums are so all over the place and super self-indulgent, IMO.
@XxidiotXxBosses4 жыл бұрын
@@DakRandall10 yea i agree with you, although i do love the three albums, their live performances are 1000% better than the studio versions and I would love to see them do a sort of live album of most of their songs
@dylanevans24983 жыл бұрын
Not really, I think you're completely right. We've had this same 'act' since early Punk i.e. for nearly 45 years. They're the 'Deeply Unoriginal Family'. If you're not doing anything new musically or lyrically, then you better have amazing songs, and they don't seem to.

Correct. Just a load of middle-class cliche ticking gap year tossers. I wish Mark E Smith was alive to tear a few strips off them for using his name - cos you know he would.
@thegrinderman10903 жыл бұрын
@@dylanevans2498 The irony of confidently making an incorrect and cliché assumption like that while calling them cliché... Even if it were true, not liking a band because they're middle class (and therefore have more time and money to put into music) makes you a poser.
