@@charlesg5085 You are sounding very incel-ish or at least incel-adjacent? You don't think stalking is a crime? Men can destroy women's lives also. But men have gotten away with the way they treat woman for far too long. Not saying it doesn't happen witb both genders but women have been treated as less than for ever. When you're used to privilege, equality can seem like oppression. The laws need to catch up and there needs to be harsher punishment to deter them from just doing it again or taking it even further!! I've met a bunch of people that rather do a short jail sentence instead of a couple years of probation. Usually it's the guys that know people in prison and it doesn't bother them to be locked up. They don't want to deal with the curfew and other conditions of probation. They rather not "use" while in jail instead of not using on probation.
@justineseitzinger53402 жыл бұрын
I was thinking the same thing. It's typically people who have been to DOC already and know the ropes. Also, knowing how awful county time is compared to DOC, and knowing the likelihood of reoffending, they would rather just "kill their number and lose their tail" as they say.
@luxonlex44532 жыл бұрын
The sad reality is that AOD use is more prevalent in county jail and the DOC than it is while on probation. Inside, inmates are rarely AOD tested and everything one could want is available, from alcohol (Prun-O) and Pot to MDMA "Molly", PCP and Fentanyl. Probation requires random AOD testing two to three times a week, completing classes and services as well as maintaining employment or job searching, which includes additional random AOD testing. For some, its easier to get 3 squares, a cot and stay high for 90 days. Then out on the street,... wash, rinse and repeat. Unfortunately the only way to get an addict to become clean, is for them to want to become clean. It can't be forced most of the time, otherwise it is almost a guaranteed relapse every time the attempt is made. I see it daily in my volunteer work. Some parents are willing to take their drug of choice over their children, and then CPS steps in and I hope there is one responsible parent, family member or Non-Related Immediate Family Member to take the kids, instead of foster care. It sucks!

Gonna have to disagree. Maybe in the last 10 years- but the strength of such laws varies from state to state. W. VA actually got rid of its law and just reenacted it as of May 2023. Go on Investigation Discovery and watch Stalked. Or Obsession: Dark Desires. SO MANY of these women tried and tried before they could get anything done whatsoever. Many of the laws aren't strong enough, aren't up to date (such as keeping up with how technology assists stalkers) or the penalties are so weak that they don't deter jack. And judging by the sheer volume of shows on the ID channel- many of which involve stalking of some kind- they're obviously not keeping the guys in there long enough.

When my friend was 18, he got busted shoplifting some cough syrup so we could get high. The judge offered him 60 hours community service or 2 days in jail and really tried to talk him out of picking jail when he chose it. I asked my friend later why he chose jail because that seemed like the worst and he said "it's better to just get it over with in 2 days instead of payong $100 to spend months doing community service." Also, my other friend's dad was the judge so that's part of why he tried to talk him out of jail. Can you tell I lived in a small town?

Had a teacher who did volunteer work in a prison. Told us the house arrest system where ppl can only go to work and back while having a GPS tether, that system is torture to some people, they'll rather sit in jail then be done with it.

I used to be involved with the criminal justice system and I’d pick 2 days in jail everytime

No empathy she has made it so there is no recourse but to go to jail. She can only blame herself for where she is at .

Man, so this is what they mean when "a narcissist looses there victim"... If anger, defamation, controlling then love bombing doesn't work- and their old tactics no longer work..next is threats/anger. Frankly He needs protection 😂 like, i get it now how "a narcissist hates losing control, and the benefits of their 'trophies' that made them feel better takes back control of there life.... It gets a little scary depending on how attached the narcissist was. I could be wrong .. she may have other personality disorders on top of it, but this sounds like a classic case of this disorder as well. I truly hope that she can move on, and be truly happy again. ❤ And for him, I hope that he keeps control, doesn't go back ... And she leaves him alone as well as him be happy too.

Because this ain't it... This is so freaking toxic. One day she will realize that he did what's best finalizing the relationship - and she will look back and realize this was NEVER love, obsession and adoring someone can trick your mind to think "this is love"_ this is not. This too shall pass. I promise. ❤️

Mental health screenings should be mandatory for anyone to enter a relationship. There are rules of engagement people, control yourselves. If you do not the courts will do it for you.

Zoom Court won't be able to stay a thing if people keep running around, doing errands, jogging, etc. while they're on their Zoom Court calls. It's unfortunate, since it's very convenient as a way to go through cases, but these people keep acting as if they can do whatever they want there at the same time as long as their phone is there with them. Including people like Natheeulean. She's lucky she got a more laid back Judge in a good mood. I'm sure as lawyers, you all can hear that same reply echoing in your minds when she asks if she can say something - "Nooo! Nooo!"

Two days in county jail is no big deal, especially if there are inclusive women in the dorm and/or pod. A misdemeanor falls off eventually if the client doesn't reoffend. First time offenders may be shaken up after a 48-hour stay however, there are 'retreads' who can't seem to get 'IT' through their noggins.

2 days in jail is not enough. Need more compassion for the actual victim in this case who's life is being ruined and controled by this woman. Put her in jail for a year, Give him a year of peace at least. If the genders were changed no question the male stalker would be locked up much longer.

Treatment of stalkers involves pharmacotherapy when mental illness is present which should be established by mental evaluation , but the mainstays of treatment for non-psychotic stalkers are programs of psychological intervention.---jail can be answer for short-term delay in stalker behavior but not to any of the fully behavior stopping gain

Great comment. She’s noted to be Bipolar type 2 and she has compulsion control issues as Ben noted and clearly low self esteem. She does genuinely believe she will stop this time and the next time and the next. And the on again off again nature of the relationship does not help. Compulsions run riot when the person is at a low point. Psychotherapy backing up pharmacotherapy and a lot of ‘emotional holding’ sessions in between to keep her on track. Her diagnosis indicates she will be resistive to treatment for a whole bunch of reasons but it can be done.

Anger management classes won't help this stalker. She needs to feel fear. Fear of going to jail. Fear of losing freedom. Judge needs to lock her up.

I loooove how he says 'if you want to know why you're in jail, just look in the mirror' and she whips around like she's honest-to-god *offended* that she's being told that she's responsible for her own actions!

This was definitely one of the Best videos I've seen on this channel.. Loved to see Team Skeptic (which I just was introduced to his channel recently) He's a Super Funny Dude.. And Ben Bateman was a Blast! I was hoping he would show up soon after the sentencing of K.B. And of course our Best Lawyer yet, Mike Gravlin. Awesome show Mike, I so thoroughly enjoyed it!! Thank you!! 😁

She will keep stalking him since she just gets to do whatever and use mental illness as a crutch. His children shouldn't suffer because she can't control herself
