the part where the girl with the camera (I don't remember her name) , you can see the shadows of her hand holding the camera on the switch... but in the ps4 version you barely notice it or really don't. But overall the switch version looks darker and it has a noise filter, the ps4 version looks softer with a little more detail and light in some parts the characters look more like in a final fantasy game... in this sense I think that the switch nailed it better for a horror game.

Still looking better on switch and this series is owned by Nintendo of course they will concentrate more on the switch one it is first on Nintendo after all still hyped for this game......I'm def gunna preorder it when it's available I'm excited to play for the first time I loved maiden of black water for switch OLED so pretty to look at to this day and it def made me jump with the ghost popping up on the camera slowly and in front of the door when you open it

I actually play fatal frame 3 on my new phone with a bluetooth controller....don't do consoles anymore they're dead it's so nice to have fatal frame 3 for the go....still better then the fourth and fifth!!!!!!!

the volume of the hair is higher on the ps4 version/port, they probably tune it down on the switch to keep the game running on a steady framerate with less stuff on screen, I also noticed that the frills on the girl's shoulders seems to be standing straight on the switch version while on the ps4 is bending down, maybe there's cloth physics on the ps4 version while it's not available on the switch's.

I prefer the PS4 versions graphics but I also like the fact that you can take the Switch with you, and I think it would feel more natural on the Switch since the handheld would feel like a camera, and I also noticed some different animations? It's probably just a version difference.

The Switch version is better with clearer image and does not have a blur filter like PS4 version.

this is what the average person think but in reality the reason for that is because the ps4 version had, volumetric fogging, lighting and ambient occlusion and far/close side camera focusing blur going on, the switch isn't powerful enough to handle all of that effects so they had to remove them completely on the switch which results seen everything turned darker on the switch version and one person will think it looks better on the switch, also did you noticed that the switch version had white noise effects while the ps4 doesn't? plus, the white frills on the girl's dress looks more static ( standing straight ) on the switch while it actually bending down on the ps4 version? that because the ps4 version had clothing physics which its not the case with the switch version, a fine example is the mirror scene, if you look closely they're moving around on the ps4 while it doesn't on the switch. or maybe this is all because the switch footage is old and they might fix the switch version in the final release and all of this talk will be silly.

Big differences: PS4 has more dynamic lighting PS4 has a mild bloom effect PS4 has better model resolution, especially around the eyes PS4 employs hair physics, Switch keeps it simple and static. (Check put the tilted-head ghost) ...None of them are deal breakers, but there's definitely a presentation difference.

I am fine with all of that if the Switch version has stable 60fps. I can take visual downgrades so much easier than a bad framerate.

In reality the graphics is more superior on ps4. Big difference i have both version. The switch version is more in line with the original version, while the ps4 is a proper remastered with high quality texture, some of the asset in the game are redone. but it is missing on switch version

That and the hair is more dynamic on the ps4. The ghost girl's hair pends to conform to her movement, OK the Switch it just sticks out straight.

some parts it looks better on ps4 but in general, it looks better on switch maybe in ps4 pro looks much better, also it was original wii exclusive so it could be that, maybe they will release patchs to improve it

no it actually looks better on the ps4, not trying to talk fanboy language, but the ps4 version is showing more volumetric fog, lighting, far side and close side focusing flair blur and ambient occlusions plus more volumetric hair on the models, the switch framerate may gonna tank if it rendered all of that effects real time like the ps4 so they had to tune it down or completely remove them which results that the switch looks more darker and felt as if the contrast is better on the switch, got nothing to do with the base ps4, the game on ps4 pro, ps5, XBONE, XSX/S and PC will all gonna looks identical to the ps4 version. if the switch is powerful enough it will gonna looks exactly 100% as the ps4's

This game is really beautiful on OLED in handheld and I'ma def try in 1080 in docked on the 4 k tv at home....I've seen videos of other versions and since Nintendo took over TECMO......the switch version is the way to go and on OLED looks more detailed and colorful and very crisp resolution.....oh no wait I did play docked in 1080 on the 4k tv lol just remembered yes very beautiful as well like that feels like your playing a better console versions!!!!!!.....other consoles look washed out and pale!!!!!!! Switch versions the way to go there was more care into that version very happy to have this game as well very scary super spooky and very happy to have five as well four is def a bit better then five in atmosphere and storytelling like 1-3 we're but still five is good as well
