it feels like in every game the protagonists makes a visit to the hair salon and goes on a shopping spree before they go out into abandoned, haunted areas to find their dead friend/sister/co-worker/etc. makes sense, if youre gonna leave a corpse behind at least make it look beautiful

There is no reason it couldn't. Even silent hill got a nice "rebrand" with Silent Hill F. I'd love to see Fatal Frame taking this kind of direction (artistic wise)

I just bought Fatal Frame Maiden of Blackwater on sale recently to give it a whirl. So glad I did! I really enjoyed it and have heard from many it’s kind of the “weaker” of the fatal frame games and I really enjoyed the story. I really hope to see more brought to modern day consoles as I REALLY want to play the rest of this awesome series! Especially the first 3! Cannot wait to play this one

If you're one of the few who bought a japanese physical copy and modded your nintendo wii with the english patch to play this.. it's not all bad. I grabbed that copy like 11 years ago, I'll happily take the new version now even if it is digital only.

Whew, all those years ago I modded my WII just to "legally" obtain this, and slap an english translation patch on an SD card. If only I knew back then just to wait another 10 years and I could play it unmodded on my PS5 lol. Good game though, looking forward to playing it again.

GOTY for me! I cannot wait for this game. Having played it once already will be such a treat being to play it again officially and updated to be bug free. Hands down my favorite Fatal Frame right along side Fatal Frame 3. Both are just chef's kiss imo. The atmosphere of FF4 is amazing. Hoping someday to see a trilogy remaster of 1-3 like we got for NG. I am so happy for this! This is my favorite entry in the series, best ghosts and story imo. Also, I love the preorder bonus. But the save data bonus is 100% ridiculous. I would have much rather have a recolor of her outfit.

Graphically, the game looks gorgeous. The only thing that concerns me are the controls. The original game on the Wii had weird unintuitive controls that took some time to get used to. The remaster of Maiden of Black water had fun combat but the exploration was needlessly cumbersome and clunky. If they addressed these issues (unintuitive controls and clunky movements) then this remake of Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse will be a masterpiece. The story was good. The setting was original and creepy. Had one of the best ghosts in the entire series (Kagero Sendo), and no cheap fan service.

Pués yo me estoy pasando el Maiden of Black Water con ayuda del google traductor, si me espero a que lo traduzcan...¡uhhhh! me voy a hacer viejo. Y el 4 en la versión de wii ya tenía una traducción no oficial hecha por fans, Koei Tecmo debería tomar esa traducción para la versión remáster , obviamente dándole crédito y agradecimiento a esos fans por el trabajo hecho.
