I guess fringe is still a major trend going into fashion week here! That's about as exciting as it gets at RL...but also, I only expect classic, ultra-wearable from them. Most of the fashion was a little downmarket for me, but exceptional presentation!

It distracts from the look. As someone who works in fashion show production BTS, we always have male models in formal, casual, or everyday ready to wear, not to wear socks. Now, if it is streetwear or urbanwear, then we do use socks, very sparsely, though. However, in a women's wear show, socks are like another accessory and we can use them to influence a look, a vibe, and a certain aesthetic.

Yet here you are talking about this collection, whereas the entire RL brand/family is celebrating since this might be the last show their father/husband/loved one might be present at. And it was a hit. Ralph is not trying to do trendy. Nor has he ever tried to do luxe like the Italians or French. Ralph has always given us casual chic, affordable, all-American clothing to you can year year round. Linens, cottonz, closet staple pieces that will still be wearable in 10 years. Ralph's prices will not break your bank and if you cannot get to a Ralph Lauren store, then Macy's & Bloomi's always has his ready to wear & purple label with a damn good price point. Ralph Lauren has always sold American style, community/family, and affordability over anything else. And to think someone so important in fashion called this beautifully designed collection & runway presentation dated and stale. Is laughable at best. Ooops, I gave you way too much credit, you are just another internet critic with no idea about the fashion industry, calling this collection dated and stale. Dated & stale straight to the bank. Dates & stale yet year after year Ralph has left behind something much more valuable. Let us see you do better. We will be waot8ng for your collection in February or a pop-up collection prior to wet our appetites for your aesthetic. Since this is too dated & stale for you.
