Are you going to tone it down a little ? Are you really going to have under wire skirts like that and multi tiered cake dresses with all that under wiring ? I think if you just imitate the prints, color combinations, and tone down the actual shape ( take out the structure beneath ) you could have quite a "commercial" looking dress, which would look great. Still a very striking look though. All the best in your sartorial adventure !

really super easy. you just sit down. probably about mid chair instead of all the way to the back of the chair so the so side pockets can sit properly. but the whole thing was very structured. there were just panniers under it. panniers are only sticking off of the hips, not the butt. and if it were the crinoline or the bustle, it would simply fold up as you sat. modern people really know not a thing about fashion history or all the undergarments women wore for decades.

This collection was a bit obnoxious, but still far more interesting than any of the sweatpants and hoodie oriented millenial athleisure fashion, with buckethats and bumbags could ever offer. The 18th century has so much variety - even within one decade, and has alot that can be seen even in modern clothing today. And styles that can be reinpreted in variety of ways by talented designers. So saying it has been done to death is a bit like saying pants are so last season.

As a show it was great, thematically, but how do these dresses translate to real life ? The pannier skirts, the multi tiered cake dresses, the bags will sell, but in the shops it will have to be toned down to something more wearable. The wedding train at the end was a fail, trailing into the pit. Sadly none of the guests hauled it back on the catwalk for a fitting finale. SMH, some people have no sense of fashion chivalry to rescue a gown in distress. We're really living in the worst of times. :(
@roselynmvm4 жыл бұрын
cheong728 - people in Tokyo will wear these outfits exactly like you saw them in the runway. There is a market for all of this weird stuff, otherwise it wouldn’t be made at all 🤷🏻♀️
@katitadeb4 жыл бұрын
Omg, why there will always be ignorant comments like yours? Nowadays runways are only shows, what you see are just prototypes of the main theme/concept of the season's collection, NONE of the runway pieces will be produced for sale, wait til AW season starts and you will find weareble clothing for real life that has the textiles and details from the runway. That's how fashion industry works my dear. Plus this is Moschino, that's how the brand's show always are. It's called brand identity.
@katitadeb4 жыл бұрын
@@roselynmvm not all of them you know, most Japanese people still are pretty conservative when it comes to clothing in real life. They only experiment for special events and weekends at Harajuku, (and if you're an artist or a musician, but normal random people... Not really). The thing is that Japanese are very quite and polite, all this stuff is weird to them but they don't point it out loud, so it's easier to wear what you want since you won't be straightforwardly critized.
@roselynmvm4 жыл бұрын
Preußen - you didn’t read well what I said. I said TOKYO, not Japan. I was not generalizing like you have. And like “someone” mentioned above, these looks are just prototypes of the main theme of the collection, and it does not mean they will be purchase or for sale in the same exact way you see the garments in the runway. But there is still a large market for extravagant and whimsical clothing, and Tokyo is just one of them. We actually have seen already crazy looks from the runway at at big award shows too, so I don’t understand why anyone would wonder how this garments could “make sense”. It’s just strange to think in that way.

Kimmibaee Faim, Moschino is a hugely successful brand with a large clientele for decades. You do have the brain capacity to realize the exaggerated skirts are for the show only? The Russians and Eatern Europeans love Moschino, also Amercican girls that are fashion foward with a cartoon pop edge. Is this Jeremy's best show, No. I agree that Marie Antoinette is played out and not very creative. Jeremy tried to put a Japanese Anime twist on the show but failed.
