For attack cancel you (presumbly) need to have jump on one of your shoulder button.. Do you always use it for your jumps then? Or do you have two buttons for jump and use both, depending on the moment..?

Most people just use the shoulder button for attack cancelling and x/y for jumping normally

@@machduel I guess it's simply impossible to land. I only tried this for Falcon and it 100% works!!! Down throw to N-air leaves the opponent at 19.2%, so I'm not sure if even run up jab is possible because of that 0.2% I'd say down throw to jab is the best and EASIEST option since it leaves at 30% and up. That's if you're having trouble landing down throw to nair to nair.

It’s somethin extremely hard or that seems really stupid at first.. but after 1 day of trying it and immediately saying NOPE because it was so hard, I decided 1 week later to try it again and for whatever the hell reason, it seemed a lot easier and so I trained it more- and I understand it a bit better now. It’s still really hard and in the heat of tournament play, I highly doubt I’ll be able to perform it.. but still anyone who is doubtful, don’t be. If you just keep practicing it - it will become easier.

I keep getting a forward knee though I push back when doing a fox trot cancel. I don't understand this, half the times I get a reversed back air and other times I get a forward facing knee (but I'm pushing the C-Stick backwards) Both times. When I fail I just do a normal back air, so I'm confused on why I'm getting a knee.

Hmm the technicalities of this is very interesting, especially when spacing is involved. Fellow Falcon main here, and I must say that, due to this kind of tech, I find fighting against characters like Fox, Lucina, and Joker to be the most exhilarating. Mostly straight neutral exchanges make for the most simple, honest, and fun matchups in the game. Also DK is a blast.

@@enzodaix6796 yeah man it's hard because that's literally how tight the input is, which really shows me how talented fatality is, and how bad falcon is on wifi lol. So you have to lightly nudge the control stick to turn Falcon around then input upair while drifting forward. Luigi one shot combo is much easier

You say you can buffer an aerial with it but why can't I do that with a RAR? All I have to do is tap back to get the turnaround animation and then jump out of it while holding whatever aerial I want. Again I know that this is crucial for Falcon I am just trying to understand why it is better than a simple RAR.

I don't understand what Fatality means by, "The value of attack cancelling back air or any other aerial versus doing an instant reverse aerial rush or through other means is quite simple, it's that you get to buffer it instead of doing it in part of a movement". How can you buffer an attack cancelled bair? I've watched MySmashCorner's video and I still don't get how it's possible to buffer an attack cancel. I can buffer a backtilt after downthrow but the window to cancel with jump is so slim, I either end up doing a btilt and miss the jump or do a f-air because there is lag where falcon doesn't pivot after a grab throw.

it's not truly a buffered action. your goal is to buffer the initial dash, which unlike most things in the game doesnt make use of the hold buffer but needs to be buffered within the last 6-9 frames (honestly dont remember the exact amount) of your previous action's recovery. the sequence for attack cancelling still needs to be timed after you are in your initial dash, but it feels a lot like a buffered sequence due to how small the buffer window is for a dash and given how soon the attack cancel needs to be inputted.
