@Hike Bike Scotland pogies are great imo. On this trip I only had a thin pair of liner gloves on. I use the 'classic' ones here which are fine for typical UK winters: www.hotpog.co.uk/

What a beuty. I live in one of these with my family In Ireland. In the hills not quite as quiet but close enough. 5 mins from a village.......... a million miles from all the nonsense. Just beautiful dude. Love it. Is there a small run of salmon in that spate river in your valley ?
