Would love to see him in some role that actually uses his talents well, instead of him being forced to actively not be liks himself and lean heavily into frail old man part, that does disservice to him and the character from Dune books. @@Kacpa2the emperor is actually very weak in the novels too. His wife is a been gesserit who won’t allow him a son, his daughter is also trained in their ways, and his lineage would likely have ended with him anyways. He presents himself as big and pompous like wearing the clothing of a Sarsaukar and having grand architecture when his only true power is the ever more complacent army of Sardaukar. I admit it’s fun to watch that difference of how he presents himself vs how he actually is in the novels but the movies are already packed tight anyway and I didn’t mind them skipping straight to the point, especially since we see most of his scenes from the perspective of others anyway

I remember an old ad for MTV way back in the day that featured clips of this and Daft Punks "One More Time". At the time my overly conservative parents called it the "Devils Music" and claimed "only social degenerates listened to such drek"; but I remember being intoxicated by the radical and new sounds my young mind heard. It was my first real experience with the true scope of what music was capable of and I've never looked back. Thank you Fatboy Slim for opening my young mind to sounds I had never dreamed of.

@josephallen12973 жыл бұрын
It technically is. Do you know why they call certain music the devil's music? The devil is the fallen spirit of music. Satan was a minister of music of heaven before he fell. He was a very beautiful cherub before he fell named Lucifer. He had literal instruments built into his being. He was covered with every precious gem stone. Pride was his downfall for wanting equality with the most high God. That spirit still roams around like a roaring lion to take advantage of suckers that just wont listen to the truth. That spirit works through these people. Satan is alive and well. But so is Jesus Christ. There is a spiritual world at war behind this one, and until you get saved and born again, you aren't gonna see it...that is unless you end up dying and get ejected from that fleshly body of yours. THEN you'll see it clear as day, but it'll be too late. Souls don't wither when they burn. Listen to your folks. They aren't as stupid as you think they are.

I get that vibe off Christopher Walken when I watch **anything** he does. Big-budget movie, low-budget indie film, main character, brief appearance, any genre...when I'm watching him play a role I always get the sense that on some level, in some way, somewhere back in his mind (but not, like, *really* far back) he's thinking "Holy shit...I **still** can't believe I get paid great big piles of cash to do this!! This is *AWESOME*!!!" I think it's most definitely present in the video. I remember seeing an interview with Walken years ago in which he mentioned that he didn't get into showbiz to be a movie actor; what he *really* wanted to be was a "Song-And-Dance Man," doing stage musicals, stuff like that. He got a lot of that training well before his career started transitioning into straight character roles. Here, he's pursuing his first love. Old as he is, he can still cut a rug. I think that energy gets projected into his performances and informs upon them. But one reason why he's one of all-time fave actors.
