Unless you played the game, you would not know but while Karna is supposedly a Lancer, his master called him a Launcher because of the beam he shoots from his eyes. Go look up Karna on typemoon wiki for more information.And Gil still calls Karna lancer despite all that.

Vasavi Shakti (the spear he throws when he grew phoenix wings) is an Anti-God Noble Phantasm. For gameplay purposes, it shouldn´t hit directly because it´d instakill everything. The other one (Brahmastra Kundala) would´ve come down on the round just before he was killed and is an Anti-Country (yes that´s the actual scale) Noble Phantasm.

+Epitome of Destruction Karna was extremely handicapped, not only is Jinako less then average in terms of ability, she is unable to give him a steady flow of mana.You'll noticed he doesn't use his famous weapons most of the time, mostly his fists.He can also only briefly use his spear, furthermore he also gave her his armor to protect his master from being deleted.So Karna lost his godly protection of reducing all damage inflicted on him by 90%.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the kana used to by Gil when referring to Karna's servant class is is ランサー correct? That sounds closer to Lancer, which is a recurring servant class in the fate franchise. If they were going for 'Launcher' wouldn't ランチャー be used instead? Given that "Lancer" and "Launcher" are both english worlds with similar written structures, it's quite possible someone just mistranslated it once or twice when putting in the engrish. Also, look what up where?

Only Jinako refers to Karna as Launcher, but he is "registered" in the Cell as Lancer, so other Masters know him as a Lancer

That's not much either if until Gilgamesh attack Karna with Parvati's spear, Zeus thunder weapons, Scathach's Gae Borg, weapons with Hydra's poison, Sigurd's sword and etc from the GOB as the most heavy's weapons di the GOB. When the first time I hear this I am shocked because Gilgamesh already has weapons from every Era except Vasavi Shakti, Agni Gandiva, and Excalibur but he had already surpassed the users of these three weapons.

My problem is how did he can get weapons like Zeus thunder, Poseidon's spear, Valkyries spears, and Apollo's arrow? Maybe he steals that. Scathach and Cu are more professional than Gilgamesh in how to trow Gae Borg as weapons that is why he uses the shooting tools such as bows.

There were originally at least a hundred and twenty give or take master/servant combos' in the original game, so it's obvious we'd see a few fresh faces given a different set of circumstances. I believe the story for Karna's NP is that he has to give up his armor upon using it so it's sort of one time only.

Then I started nitpicking all the inaccuracies and even comparing Nasu's Karna with Amar Chitra Katha's... so yea. I kind of have a love/hate relationship with the character thanks to cultural bias XD.

Do you even know how the battle system works? There's no unlimited heal, The master has their own separate MP , Extra turns comes from getting 3 correct consecutive choices in a row. And The throwing of his NP is a time based attack that lands on you on the next turn.

Long story short, in this, I -think- Karna's still supposed to be a Lancer, like Apocrypha, just that he got his own class through some events that I know nothing about, but if I'm wrong, please correct me on that.

@@Sutobuto wel he is way more powerfull then your avarage lancer. and his noble phantasismes or on another level then most lancers. take his final attack for example the spear of the thundergod. he outmatched vlad the third in his own territory which is quite a feat. his abbilities border on godlike and i mean really godlike not just strength but also the scale and mana usage. its also stated that even a/s clas mages would be outta mana after 10 seconds when using karna. by no means is he an avarage servant. some people believe he is on par with gilgamesh.

He is a lancer class servant. The reason he is called "launcher" in CCC is because how he can launch his NPs. Karna is a skilled demigod, in his original legend, his skill with a bow on a chariot (archer and rider) was so great that it trembled amongst the gods (Hindu mythology), although growing up he was a very humbled person, hence why he is titled the "hero of charity" while Arjuna was the "awarded hero".

Really, the main part that I caught on to is just Gilgamesh saying something, then referring to him as 'Lancer'. Maybe it's referring to the other 'Lancer' in this, or 'Launcher' is pronounced/written the same way in Japanese for no good reason. I haven't learned enough yet to be able to tell very well, to be honest.
