As a JP youtuber explained. Vortigen doesn't hate Chaldea after all that has transpired. In a way, of the two aspects in Oberon-Vorigen, he is the most willing on working with Chaldea at the end of the day, however, all the evil and disgust attitude we hear on the voicelines come from Oberon himself as he hates Chaldea for one reason only. That reason is that Chaldea is a group that protects humanity by destroying singularities, lostbelts and lost worlds now with Fairy Britain so basically speaking in Oberon eyes they are destroying the only real chance he has on meeting with Titania because while a fictional character, in any of those places where fantasy can become a reality, Oberon is still hopeful that maybe one day he will meet the only woman capable of loving an eccentric just like him but since our work is to destroy them in order to safeguard humanity, he hates us real good. Kinda wish DW will one day add Titania so he can hate us a little bit less as he is also sour at his defeat in fairy Britain but in comparison, he is even angrier at not meeting with Titania.

@@gymguy8780 The other fictional characters that became Servants were either: a) Not considered fictional in Fate (Fran, Jekyll, Dantés, etc.) b) Were based on existing Heroic Spirits (Jalter, Cu Alter, etc.) c) Had their Spirit Origins engineered by Moriarty by mixing multiple characters together (Hessian Lobo, Yan Qing) d) Were created by Beast VIII Riyodako from Grail udon (Paul Bunyan) e) Represent abstract concepts, not actual characters (Maxwell's Demon, Nursery Rhyme, etc.)

I mean, they probably would've died if they ate the whole thing anyway, or if they didn't get the antidote on time. Poison Resistance was just making the symptoms lighter, that particular poison goes straight for the soul.

@@farizahmad3036 Koyanskaya collected a pretty specific poison that bypassed Poison Resistance and could kill immortals. You could actually see how Ritsuka's condition got worse over time through the increasing period before MC skills could be used.

Because in Fate, most myths and legends (from which Artoria originates, see also "Arthurian legend") are real in some way. Explicitly fictional characters don't work that way, though, even if they can be manifested given enough shitfuckery (see Shinjuku Servants and Sasaki Kojiro). And since Titania was definitely fictional (there's no myth behind her and she wasn't based on a real person like Carmilla, Dantés, Jekyll, etc.), there's no way to summon her.

It's very much implied he's real, and Conan Doyle is actually Watson. Nursery Rhyme is an entirely different subject, because she's not a character. Effectively, she's the embodiment of the entire collective concept of fairy tales and nursery rhymes (don't ask me how that works, the Moon is fucking weird). So the only real way to summon purely fictional characters is by mixing them with someone else, either a human (Kojiro) or another character (Hessian Lobo and Yan Qing), and I'm pretty sure Oberon would object to that.
