Orion said that no one but him was allowed to shoot down Artemis. It was his burden alone, and when Artemis-Origin broke the contract he had with an Artemis Unit, it was pretty much decided then and there that he would take out Artemis. This last shot was Orion’s 3rd shot, and the shot that killed him. He was already completely worn out after 2 shots. Using Apollo has the bow, and Paris as the arrow. He used the Sun to shoot down the Moon. He had to free her from of fate of being a soulless machine that knew nothing of love. This LB counterpart of her needed to be put out of her misery. So he created a third noble Phantasm, and shot an arrow of love in order to destroy Artemis-Origin. Artemis was killed by love. Artemis was killed because she was loved. Orion’s love for Artemis put her to rest. Everyone had sacrificed themselves for this moment. Achilles died holding off LB Chiron and Odysseus’ forces. Chiyome died being a Trojan horse and unleashing her curse from within Echidna to stop monsters spawning. Mandricardo died blocking a satellite shot from Artemis Bartholomew fighting Odysseus' forces. Hektor died blocking a satellite shot from Artemis. Paris gave up his Saint Graph to become the arrow for Orion to shoot. And Orion gave up his Grand Title and died of over-exhaustion to free Artemis. Before this Drake stole one of Poseidon’s cores which cursed her to never venture out to see again, Charlotte kamikaze’s against Odysseus, and after, Jason, who has been heavily wounded since the beginning and used Medea Lily to hide all his injuries so we wouldn’t worry, chooses to die alongside Chiron, so that his teacher wouldn’t have to die alone. So many sacrifices made, just to get to Olympus. ...however. Orion gave up his grand title. Grand servants are summoned for a specific reason; to combat beasts. Orion died before fulfilling his duty, meaning there’s a beast that’s ready to run loose on Olympus, and it’s Tamamo Vitch.

@Allen @X aldreca If you’ve been following the story, Vitch whole Stchik is that she wants to become a Beast different from OG Tamamo. Her saint graph is unnaturally heavy/dense, and she has the Beast skill Independent Manifestation (the only non-Beasts who have this are Merlin, who could probably become a new era Beast due to his Incubus nature, and Void Shiki, who is so deeply connected to the route). She is not on the Crypters side, because she doesn’t follow the Alien God. She’s an independent mercenary essentially. She wants to become something different from OG Tamamo, but she couldn’t unleash her powers in LB3 or LB4, because in those time periods, OG Tamamo already existed. If she unleashed her powers there, she’d just become the exact same of OG Tamamo. But here in LB5, during the age of Gods, Tamamo doesn’t exist yet, so there’s absolutely nothing stopping her from becoming a beast up on Olympus. Also note. In her legend Tamamo was killed by arrows, and Alaya summoned a Grand Archer who just so happens to be the ultimate hunter.

The requirements for the Grand Archer is to be able to shoot your target from anywhere at anytime. Orion as the ultimate hunter can fire arrows that will never miss no matter the distance or location. So I assume the requirements for Grand Assassin is to be able to assassinate any target without fail.

What I'm worried is that the anime adaptations might prioritise on spectacle over writing, which the Babylonia adaptation suffered from quite a bit. While I think Babylonia was a pretty decent adaptation, I feel like the story is still too complex to fully understand and I think the genuine emotion in the game wasn't felt in the adaptation. So after this finally hit NA, i just want to say, goddamn this is such a beautiful and epic moment. The moments that really gets me are: - He said "Don't worry, i'll be right here falling for you". This man so compassionate about his love, he said to a giant mecha goddess from orbit that he will "catch" or accompany her fall. - After Artemis got shot, she understood immediately. Her text became white, no longer of a machine. - That small flashback from proper history Artemis(?) at 7:12, Orion said that the fact that he remained a human, might be important later, which is this moment. AND THEN Artemis asked whether he will come if one day her, as a goddess, asked him to save her as a human. Which is again, this moment that's happening right here. - And of course, the crazy animated CG that we got. The buildup, the impact, the callback, is so good for this scene.

LB 5 is so emotional to me. I cried a lot (even more than LB 1) and seeing everyone is sacrifice themselves makes my heart hurts(the most for me is Achilles)😭. I have no words but the storyline is so good, LB 5 is probably my favorite. We'll avenge you Greek heroes(even Chiyome). Your efforts are not wasted and defeat Krischtaria!

No matter how you see it, his NP is ridiculously op. It can tear through any defenses. It can hit anything. This is Gae Bolg but far better. Don't get me wrong and correct me if so . But if I remember correctly (it has been a while), Artoria could sorta dodge Gae Bolg because her luck is fairly high, right. This is basically a sure-hit thing. The only thing which can defend him would only be Avalon.

Keep in mind this is a Noble Phantasm that shouldn’t exist. It needed an arrow made from Paris, a bow made of Apollo and the Grand Archer to abandon his title for the effect to kill a god. It’s not something he could ever do again, which makes this all the more special.

But Orion's NP works in a different manner. It simply tears through any defense. Even if it is weak, it still works perfectly against extremely defensive enemies. Vasavi Shaki is stupid strong, no doubt. Even after many other servants debuting, it is still one of the strongest among Herioc Spirits' NP (not counting absurd Divine Spirits like Godjuna and Quirinus) I am complimenting Ortygia Amore Mio in terms of its accuracy and defense penetration. Even his existing but weaker NP Orion Horkos works the same in terms of going through defense.

It would take a bit longer for the NA server to bask in the glory of these storytelling. EoR is kinda the 'rest' period before the LB and even if LB is generally good, there are times the quality kinda drops a bit. But there is a saying that good things come to those who wait patiently.
