There's something heartwarming about Draco Valentine scene. Where she no longer wallow in depression and pain alone but instead is doing wacky shenanigans comedy where she is more expressive. Certainly beats than her being in so pain she goes suicidal. Its heartwarming seeing Draco go all panic and embarrassed just like her human self which shows how in tune she is with humanity. She really is a Beast that walk alongside humanity.

Character development, Meltryllis in CCC was not the character he is today in FGOM. In short: From monster to heroine, she grow up. If you're referring to appearance, it's probably because each character has a designer. Maybe one day we'll be given the designer of that arcade. Well, I like this version too.

That version of her is truly embracing her evilness under her own understanding of twisted love, to say it simply. While this one isn't. Her adult version is named as Whore of Babylon in Arcade. Had WoB not turning her 7 draconic beasts to immitate Goetia's demon god pillars, we could have a WoB alongside Bestia Coccinea (True Body) together, just like in the bible where WoB is depicted to ride on top of her 7 headed dragons.
