That's because Casters are the literal only class that actually provides various support roles, meaning that by default they're practically required for any kind of strategic team composition since all other classes seem to have a raging hate boner against team-wide support skills (with the sole exception of David...).

For one of my story ideas, I was thinking of having MHX Alter approach several other Servants in order to form a new Dark R.O.U.N.D.S. Perhaps one Servant from each of the other Classes? I already have a few candidates in mind: Archer could be Paris, a deceptively skilled little guy who would probably appreciate the chance to boost his credibility as part of a new team. Lancer could be Elizabeth, Caster could be Scáthach-Skadi, as a nod to her being one of the best Supports Ecchan could ask for, Assassin could be Cursed Arm Hassan, Ruler could be Iyo and Avenger could be Jeanne Alter. I’m currently torn between three candidates for the position of Saber: Altera, Mordred and Barghest. The question is, would they submit to such a role, would Mordred be willing to serve under any version of Artoria, even if it was somewhat in opposition of regular Artoria? MHX Alter SHOULD be able to best them in combat, as Mordred checks one of the boxes on the special condition of her Noble Phantasm and Altera and Barghest check them both. I do thoroughly enjoy this sort of speculation and look forward to hearing everyone’s thoughts on it.
