Talking about Cortana, i just noted that her predicament in Halo 3, it was similar to the situation of Saber in UBW, after be enslaved by Caster. As both girls were being tortured by the villains, to turn them insane and makes them loyal to the bad guys. Though that Cortana and Saber managed to endure the torture long enough to that the protagonist could rescue them, before the girls become the weapons of the Gravemind and Caster.

Funny you mention Shirou touching chainsaws, given his fight against Juste in Lord El-Melloi II's Adventures... IIRC, when Artoria is talking about not striking fairies, she's talking about the restraints on Excalibur - the conditions that affect how much oomph goes into the beam. Mordred *is* a lot less hostile in summer beach mode... Gilgamesh in Final Fantasy is a gigantic play off of Musashibou Benkei. Associated with fights on a big bridge. Taking large numbers of swords. Japanese aesthetic. Totally Benkei.

*Spoilers* At 1:47. Speaking honestly, idk what Ritsuka's done in JP, or what some of the other MCs in the picture have done. That said, I'd want to give the win to the Doctor from Arknights or Sensei from Blue Archive. The Doctor because of what's been revealed in the current event, where it's basically been revealed that he's the cause of most of the problems in the story. Or Sensei because of what happened in volume F, where a Sensei from a doomed world managed to trick an evil god into letting him take his remaining students to another world where he could entrust those students to another version of himself.

4:50 While I do believe you should go for the characters you like, I also think that you're going to need some support characters. Especially when you get to the Lostbelt storyline. To this day I still believe that the China story chapter is the worst story chapter in Fate/Grand Order. That boss fight against Xiang Yu and Consort Yu is the worst.
