My thought process with the flight question is: "If I sat with Shinji, I'd murder him within the first half hour and then it's hella awkward as I'd now have a murder charge and will never feel bad for it. To be fair Orion was killed by scorpion sent by either Gaia or Apollo when he was going to hunt with Artemis. The Gaia version was because he said he was going to hunt everything to extinction. While the Apollo version was because he was being an overprotective brother plus also jealous of Orion able to make his sister break her vow of virginity.

To make it even more tragic Zeus killed Asclepius be he could give Artemis the potion that can bring the dead back to life to bring Orion back from the dead.
