The fate route may be a bit outdated and doesn't explore some of the more interesting plot twists in the series, but it feels like it had the most heart of the 3 routes. And in my opinion, Shirou and Saber are the foundation of the Fate series as a whole.

I've watched the whole fate series, so say what u want, but.. fsn will forever be the best route to me. Ubw and heaven's feel might've had the best animation, but fsn has the best story and the most emotions. It's tragically beautiful (':

The problem wiith thiis ship is fate zero saber. In fate zero she act like the king of knights seeking salvatiion for her as the only matter. In Fate stay night she went from being the king of knights to an over protective waiifu for shiro of course people will ship them and i believe its kinda realistic considering the fact that shiro is a teenage and any teenage would have ffallen for saber in this situation ( you can see that in rin )... Sadly because of fate zero doesnt feel right making UBW route the most suitable for shiro. He had a conection with rin before meeting her and in the ffuture as archer. Any ways i preefer this ship over sakura and shiro... sakura is only there ffor you to feel pitty for her and that sucks. My order is Rin x shiro Saber x shiro And we dont talk about this ship (HF route)

@@JoshuaDMarti i know what you are trying to say and I have read the visual novel but what my point is the fact that saber lost her weight on fate stay night as king of knights she might have gotten recognition after knowing that she is artoria but once again she acted as a damaged waifu in the fate route rather as how she would have acted in fate zero according the situation. She had an objective and she completely lost focus on it after encountering shiro. That’s why it feels wrong because their only connection had to be established by Rin so shiro could healed her. If it weren’t for Rin the fate route wouldn’t have reached to that tragical relationship after all. In fact saber in UBW feels more close to Zero’s saber than her own route.

@@JoshuaDMarti that escalated quickly lol... but the thing is that saber doesn’t needed shiro as couple to be as strong as she is. She may have been broken but what she needed is to start believing in herself and she gots it. But was it necessary to show that shiro was the one who saved her? I’m pretty sure artoria is stronger than that. She doesn’t need a couple to fight for her ideals again. The fact that she came broken from zero it’s the reason why she is so strong. She keeps moving forward towards her desires. I don’t say that she doesn’t need support but shiro is not the one who will change her life magically. Her change starts from her so that’s why I see shiroxsaber in the fate route weird. Because they don’t need each other after all it’s like the had a few common problem and both took advantage of that and project it as a relationship. If saber had lived afterward they wouldn’t have worked. But both have had a good time anyways.

@@JoshuaDMarti to be honest I don’t mind saberxshirou what I don’t like it’s shirouxsakura that shit it’s a way too forced in my opinion specially because they have more like a sibling relationship. In UBW rin doesn’t need shiro but shiro needs her to prevent him to turn into his counter guardian version. And also they had crush on each other before all happening in fate stay night. I like the fate route more than heavens feels because artoria play a major role on it and she is a way more developed than any other routes but what hits me it’s how shiro helps her. But in the end it’s a tragic story among two ideals and how saber may rest in piece without being feeling completely alone and that’s very cute for her. Artoria in general deserved better. But after all the fate route showed us that she had a good time at least. My problem in general is shiro and has always been lol. In the other routes he feels so blind that if it weren’t for Rin he would have died 5 times already and I believe that’s the reason why I like UBW his relationship with Rin gets deep and shiro stops being lost all the time. In heavens feel and fate route I’m wondering who is stopping shiro from being stupid but no one does if it weren’t for the plot armor he would have died so many times .... btw is Rin birthday
