In the story Judas kissed Jesus farewell on the cheek to tell the Romans which of them was the false messiah stirring the Jews up. Jesus knew what Judas was doing and let it happen, knowing he would be crucified and die for humanity's sins.

"That's hell your walking into" I love that line as its Archer trying to warn Shirou that if he keeps going on his ideals it will result in despair. Its truly an amazing line as it shows how Archer really wants to stop Shirou due to he knows his outcome, this song during it doesn't overpower the convention but instead quietly sits there till Shirou accepts that Archer is his fate then song spikes when Shirou walks into hell and pulls the blade from the ground that specific moment the music just spikes in! And the song is almost about Shirou accepting his fate as Archer, it's a beautiful song and beautiful scene

I feel like this song is for Archer. On a side note UBW Shirou is my favorite Shirou as he's the most Shirouish Shirou of them all. I feel like he reached the ultimate conclusion of his journey by the end of his route. Unlike other Shirous that abandon the dream UBW Shirou not only doesn't abandon the dream he accepts all of the flaws and knows he will never truly find what he wants. But... There is beauty in his dream and he will chase it until the end of time.

Honestly there's satisfaction in the resolution of each Shirou. From Fate Shirou being able to move away from his attitude of self-sacrifice and find value in living due to learning about Saber's past, UBW Shirou realizing his dream is impossible and striving to do the best he can anyway while trying to love himself, or HF Shirou who decided to live his life for a person he loves more than anyone and abandon the 'curse' he was bestowed. There's something to love about all of them, but ultimately I do think I agree that UBW Shirou is the most inspirational of them all. As someone who, while reading the VN, found myself relating to Shirou more than I'd care to admit (the PTSD, survivor's guilt, self-hatred and feeling the need to 'make up' for existing, in particular), his UBW self gave me motivation to keep going in a really dark point in my life. I can't comment on the Miyuverse one yet as I haven't caught up with that series yet.

​@Professor J In my eyes- UBW is the ultimate evolution of GoB. Gil's arsenal is strong and *massive* but still fininite. He also lacks combat knowledge with all but Ea- However UBW is while weaker over all- surpasses GoB in 2 respects that is ammunition (It is ofc infinite) and skill. Once Shirou projects a weapon- he gains all the skills that comes with mastering it. UBW's biggest flaws is the Mana Cost and the fact that it can't reproduce divine weapons (Ignoring prisma illya and Extella). This means Gil beats UBW with Ea and Enkidu- but that means only 2 of possibly thousands of weapons can't be copied. Considering Shirou's copying can match the summoning of GoB and match it in firing speed- I would say the imitation surpasses the original in this case. And- while anything Shirou projects is a rank lower- they can still block Gil's spam as seen in every case of UBW vs GoB and Shirou could close the gap with enhancement magic (Though that is an outside factor).

Okay, wow. The amount of series that LeeandLie has gotten me into is amazing. I saw this first in April of 2020, as my intro to the fate series, your delivery of "Ash to Ash, Dust to Dust" stuck in my mind and I just had to see the series. Suprise, It became my favourite series because Emiya is amazing and I relate so much, that it pretty much single-handedly showed me the way out of a depressive state. Now I'm 5 months into Fate Go, and just finished the Fate route in the Visual Novel. What an impact these songs have.
