You can summon the same heroic spirit again even if they are killed. The servants in the wars are just weaker copies of the actual heroic spirits. You can kill this gilgamesh but the actual heroic spirit is just chilling in the throne of heroes.

@@panjipewe Servants are put into class containers that limit their power. We have seen an example of a Heroic Spirit being summoned and not be put into a class, in Fate Extra CCC. That spirit was Gilgamesh, and he could not be controlled by the very device that summoned him.

Servents can be summoned in different classes like there is a version of Lancer that's a actually in the caster class which is hinted at when Lancer uses those runes to find Rin and summon the flames

EMIYA's true goal wasn't really to kill shirou (a secondary choice) even though he made a convincing intent of it. What he actually aimed to do was change his younger-self as a person, if Shirou refuses to let go of these goals then the best option was to convince him to treat them as a passion and embrace being human. That way, the possibility of another future Emiya without any regrets would be born.

He's pretty explicit about killing Shirou even in internal dialogue, he doesn't even think that killing Shirou will release him he just wants to take his anger out on Shirou and prevent another Hero of Justice by killing. It's this fight that actually convinces him as his resolve wavers and he accepts Shirou.

Archer wanted to break Shirou's spirit. It was Shirou's unwaveringness and the reminder of why they believed and followed the ideals in the first place that changed Archer's perspective, giving him the answers he had been searching for eons.

@@neonplays609 Yes, breaking shirou's spirit was one of the reasons. But with all three routes throughout, Emiya kept giving his dense younger-self helpful hints and advises. Meaning he was trying to get Shirou to grow emotionally. Shirou choosing to self-harm, self-deceive and block away emotions for the sake of a fake hero complex was what Emiya (and personally me) had an enraged problem with. The reminder u mentioned Archer felt was a mixed relieved shock of Shiro expressing a genuine passion-embrace, showing the newly reflected personality he didn't expect to force out of that stubborn kid.

@@GC-Shadow1327 What are you talking about? We are mainly talking about UBW here, where Archer only thinks he wants to reject his younger self. But what he truly desires is validation from Shirou-validation that the ideals they believed in and the path they walked had meaning. He wanted to hear "It's not a mistake!" from Shirou. People often forget that Archer and Shirou are the same person, as they act and behave the same around people unless they are both confronting each other, even Rin points this out. Archer never hated Shirou (despite the meme) or his ideals. Hating them will mean hating the path he walked (which he tries to do throughout the route), just as Saber is trying to undo her past. He has just forgotten why he followed them due to repeated aeons of summoning. At the end, even Archer acknowledges Shirou, and he admits he was never wrong to follow his ideals.

One Heroic Spirit can be summoned as Servant multiple times, but he won`t remember his previous summons (since it`s always copies of Heroic Spirit from the Throne of Heroes in their original state). Saber is exception to memory loss, because she (spoiler) techniclally not really dead yet.

@@rudragokhale9839 Throne of Heroes is some place (not physical) outside of time and space where original Heroic Spirits are gathered by Alaya for protection of humanity from different threats. What we see in Grail War are copies of those Spirits in their original state (and most of the times their powers also limited by their class, so usually they`re even more powerful). Spirits inside of Throne can actually gain knowledge about actions of their copies in form of some kind of logs or notes, but this info doesn`t apply to their copies. This is the short version)

I don't like how Shirou started to fight on par with Archer so quickly ... felt illogical given Archer had hundreds of years of experience ... plot armour plays its usual role

or maybe you just don`t understand (or don`t want to) how Shirou`s abilities work. He can literally make a near perfect copy of almost any weapon just by looking at it. And this copy will also have a history of it`s using, which allows him to use skills of original owner. In case of Archer we also have effect of resonance, that permanently improve Shirou skills when they interact with each other (they are going in sync with Archer being dominant, roughly speaking), especially when they clash with their swords, that made by their magic. Shirou`s entire character is based on copying and imitating. I thought it must be clear by now

How can you miss what was so obviously the point of the fight? Of course Archer could easily defeat him, it was a battle of ideals not battle of strength. That’s why Archer says he doesn’t want to take a step back. That’s why Shirou only gets one hit on Archer yet Archer conceded defeat. That’s why when Shirou stabbed Archer, it looked like he was moving in slow motion in comparison to Archer’s movements (because archer could easily kill him). Thats why when the fight was over, Archer was still standing and Shirou collapsed to the ground.

Paradox. Since there are two Shirou Emiyas at the same time at the same place, when they come into contact the younger version gets powers, experience and technique of the older one. Same reason why Shirou gets Archer's memories as well What you call plot armor is pretty logical thing that was established earlier in the anime and VN and was shown in other works of type-moon even before Fate Doesn't really matter since Archer didn't want to kill Shirou anyway

you need to react to the version of the fight from the deen movie the movie wasnt good but this fight was done way better in the deen movie than in here
