Agreed. When i finished the Season 1 the first time that i watched the anime, i was really hyped for the Season 2, especially to see when Saber would be rescued, as it was truly sad to see her being enslaved by Caster.

Agreed. Even if it was a hard decision, Shirou was in an impossible situation, as he had to chooses between saves Taiga, or keep Saber. Making him took a difficult choice. Adding that in the Visual Novel, Taiga was in the arms of Caster, making even less possible that Shirou could rescue her, adding that didn't help that Saber lunged to attack Caster, with Taiga in the way, forcing Shirou to stopped Saber with his last Command Spell, to saves Taiga's life.

In each route, some characters have more relevance or are insignificant: - Saber. In Fate, she is a main protagonist, giving her a very important role in the plot. In UBW, she is a deuterogonist, making her role more secundary. In Heaven's Feels, she is a minor character, adding that become an unwilling antagonist by the Shadow. - Lancer. In Fate, he only appears in the beginning and final parts. In UBW, he had a notable role, to help the heroes to rescue Saber and after Rin. In Heaven's Feels, he died early in hands of True Assassin. Archer. He is a wild card, as he had an important role in each route. Fate, he made the ultimate sacrifices to let the heroes escaped from Berserker. UBW, he was one of the main antagonists. Heaven's Feels, he saved Shirou's life to implant his arm. - Rider. In Fate, she was a recurrent antagonist. In UBW, she was killed off screen by Kuzuki. In Heaven's Feels, she ended becoming an important ally for the heroes. - Berserker. In Fate, he was one of the main antagonists. In UBW, he was killed by Gilgamesh. In Heaven's Feels, he ended becoming one of the minions of the Shadow. - Caster. In Fate, she had a minor role to attack Shirou's house after the events of Eizbern Castle. In UBW, she was one of the main antagonists, adding be responsible that Shirou lost Saber, leading to some important development for the protagonist. 10:37 Well about that, in the fate timeline (there are 3 timeline to the sate/stay night visual novel, first is centered around saber and you romance "and more" her, second is UBW with rin as a focus and then there is heaven's feel with sakura as a focus (with extra "and more")). So actually there is a timeline where she wants to do him, just not this one :O Also the whole sakura/ gil stuff will be explained but only in heaven's feel :P Also it's common for masters and servants to have dreams about each other's lives which is something we see a lot in the fate route (and here we see rin seeing archer's past through dreams)

Indeed. Especially by the prospect that the poor Saber was enslaved by Caster, and forced to harm Shirou, leaving her in grief, sad and distraugh. While Shirou ended notably injured, and Rin basically said him scram, to not be involved in the Holy Grail war anymore, leaving a notable cliffhanger for us.
