Its a fundamentally sound doc, with maxxed down+B recovery ability, and the ability to reliably up+B cancel. Yez/no? Any other "defining characteristics" cuz other than that, i think this was just doc doing what doc do

@@forgetfulfunctor1 That's exactly it; I absolutely LOVE Doc's playstyle and I have ever since I was a preteen playing Melee in 2001. There's something about the intense risk/reward factor of a powerful character balanced by having small hitboxes and a mediocre recovery that just speaks to me on a deep level. Whenever I see Franz jump in over a committal option and smash someone in the face with a fair, I POP OFF because it just feels so satisfying to me. Ugh, I could go on for ages! The reason Franz's Doc is so delightful to me is because it's, as you said, Doc doing what Doc do, and I LOVE watching/playing what Doc do.
