It is amazing how children are often so perceptive to situations that merit extra attention. It helps to become attuned to their reactions as they often provide the most brutally honest of truths.
"Father and Son" tries to capture the innocence of age. The relationship between a father and son is universal, infinite like a Möbius strip. The boy grows up, but the man should never cease to be a boy. And that is the biggest lesson any father will learn - every father was, is a son. Whether a son becomes a father, and what kind of father, it sometimes takes a look in the mirror to be reminded.
Released in celebration of Father's Day 2009, this film begs us to take an extra hour each day and learn a lesson or two from the ones who seem so different but are yet so close to us. In today's age of routine and mechanic anonymity, we must always ask ourselves: did we grow up just a little too much? Leave the cellphone behind for one day and spend it with the family.

This father's day, let's remember all the fatherlessness, depression, loneliness, suicide, and loss of potential vindictive women and corrupt courts caused under the lie of "best interests of the children." you know, i will never have kids. not because i wouldn't like to, in fact i quite like kids. and not even because there isn't a single woman on earth that would feel any sort of affection for me, let alone be ready to give birth to my offspring. i think the most important reason is that just because you want something doesn't mean you should do it. i'd rather die not knowing if i could prove a better father than my own (not better, just having a normal dad-son relationship) than ruin somebody else's life, as it was ruined for me.
