Super awesome to see you doing this with your sidekick. Some of the best memories I have are going cutting firewood with my Dad and brothers 30 years ago. Now I take my 8 year old out and buck up our yearly amount of firewood and enjoy the forest, definitely a form of therapy for a lot of people. my dad helped me, i sold fire wood my 10th 11th and 12th grade in high school and made a killing and this was in southern Alabama at that. i wish little man the best on his firewood endeavors, maybe he may want a splitter next after the parrot, once he starts getting the loads out and builds his cliental. hit those teachers up my brother, let'em know u got good wood for the winter for them to stay warm or set the mood for any family night

Just be sure to teach him to use an axe/maul so that he can actually APPRECIATE all of difficulty it is to split wood by hand so that he can understand just how easy he has it with a splitter; AND you can use the manual option for when he actually deserves some form of punishment, and for that he will never forget!

I never forgot about this KZbin channel. Actually really liked it. So to me Saws fall off for most part during spring and summer times. Here lately with colder temps saws are picking back up. I had forgot channels name. I would every once in a bit think of channel and tried remember the name to look up. I only thing popped into my memory was tht badass looking Old Echo or Homelite . Then finally this morning KZbin sent u into my suggestions .

Nice someone will get that pine as it would sit on forest floor here because you can't give it away! I do burn it on outside fires though because I'm not burning Tamarack or Doug fir outside for sure! Good day with the boy he seems like a go getter! Good job hope to see you do it again! Looks like a fun father/son trip making memories. Ya it seems like any trees that have been down for a while even though not rotten they don’t seem to burn as well or put out as much heat. I think mother nature takes the carbon out of them during the breaking down process. If the tree has been down for 6 months or less though the wood is usually fine. Hard wood may be different though?

Thanks Man, yeah it's interesting how the wood just sort of dry rots as it sits there, mostly pine around here, but yeah had a hard time finding good solid wood...gonna have to fell some next time!😁

100% top notch video, but I lost my dad at 16, so no one appreciates a good father/ son videos more then me, but please remember our kids learn from watching us. Please wear chainsaw chaps . Especially when using older saws around kids .
