Sorry about your back, i know the feeling. I was in a really bad car wreck on Christmas Eve and i died a few times, had to have 5 surgeries within 5 days and it'll be close to a year before i can walk and get out into the woods again. I typically carry a premade ridgeline with prusiks already on it too. I use the Marlin Spike hitch and Trucker's Hitch combo, which i learned from Corporals Corner. Glad you're doing better and back out there. Can't wait to see the next one guys. Take care during all this Covid 19 stuff.

Done a lot of hiking and camped out in the mountains of colorado for 6 months, so I know a thing or two about cooking mountain house. Pour the water up to the top of the food in the pouch and let it set for 10. Then give it a stir, you’ll see it’s still dry, so add just a lil bit and stir repeating the process till you get it right where you want it. Can’t wait to do stuff like this with my son, hope to have him out there as soon as he’s ready..... good job on the vids!
@robertsbushcraft4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the tip, secretsquirrell13! My best advice to you is not to wait, get your son out as soon as you can, he'll never know life without the outdoors.

Thanks once again for a great video guys. I love the relationship you two have. It is a true example for all men, fathers and sons. Plus you go play in the woods! I hope to get out soon but like there, here in lower Alabama the temps are crazy. 80+ degrees here this week. Went from ideal camping weather to snakes, ticks and heat in about 12 days. I’m really itching to get that tarp. I have two of the Army issued UCP camo but can’t find a Marpat in good shape. The Fire Force looks like the ticket for sure. Stay safe and God Bless!

Thank you for the encouragement, Steve. Gabriel and I have a grand time together out in the woods. We prefer colder weather for our camping. It was 90 degrees here in NC today. Good luck with the tarp!

I'm so glad I'm used to drinking organic instant coffee. It's so easy to make and it tastes just fine to me. I've been using it every day for a decade. If I wanted or needed more than a cup at a time, I would use a french press or something similar, but for my needs instant coffee works well.

It must be nice to be able to find such things as the USMC bivy in good condition and not completely bagged out south of the 49th. I have spent a few days refurbishing a decent one that I found locally (do NOT buy these online if you are Canadian) to decent condition but they really aren't worth it unless you can inspect in person and it is for a steal.
